When we started Big Top Brewing Company, there were no craft breweries in the Sarasota area and we set out to fix that. We wanted to compliment Sarasota’s historical associations with The Ringling Circus, performing arts, great architecture, the best art and design schools and world renown tourism.

The best way we could do that was to craft beer that our home town can be proud of. We plan to continue the tradition of the arts and help Sarasota add beer town to its identity. Come step under our big top and see for yourself. Big Top Brewing Company artistically crafts world class beers, inspired by our passion, integrity, and the history of our home town.

Spring Kolsch
4.8% ABV Fruity and floral aromas awaken your senses. Pleasent peach flavors please your palate while tropical hop notes bloom to a crisp finish. Spring Kolsch is lightly bodied and refreshing.
Lemon Shandy
4% ABV Light and zesty, this lemon shandy was made for the Florida heat. Enjoy this American lager blended with homemade lemonade all Summer long. We call this beer the perfect refresher!
Pumpkin Stiltskin Ale
8.9% ABV Prepare for a pumpkin ale that is hauntingly good. Every year the Pumpkin Stiltskin rises from the fields and sacrifices his kin to provide the flavors of baked pumpkin, cinnamon, roasted honey, brown sugar, and fresh vanilla beans.
Winter Red Ale
5.5% ABV Light citrus and spruce aromas warmly offer Seasons Greetings. The first sip unwraps sweet malt flavors of toasted caramel and brown sugar. Hops assert their presence with flavors of pine, grapefruit, and spice. Cheers to complex harmony and 60-degree winters!

Food is consistently well made and delicious. The Ham and Honey pizza has a wonderful combination of complimentary flavors that somehow come together perfectly. The wings are huge and crispy. The Asian sauce is a peanut Thai sauce that totally melts onto the chicken. The service is attentive and efficient. The noise volume is high with the open high vaulted ceilings. Parking is limited. Reservations are the key.

DJ blasted clubbing music too loud when it’s all kids there at 530ish, maybe DJ should start after 8.

Our waiter was totally confused about everything we asked. He didn’t even know what rosé wine was. we asked for the check at the end and he said yes and then went to the next table and took an order of 10 people took him 25 minutes awful we had already eaten our dessert and we thought he was gonna bring over the check we asked him and he turned around and went to take that tables order another waitress saw how long we’ve been sitting there. She was super sweet and took our check. I will never go back there.

Such fun, great beers and everything we tasted was delicious. Falafel tacos and chicken meatballs were outstanding.

We had a very large party and Big Top took special measures to accommodate us for the evening of dueling pianos. Our service was great, food was wonderful and entertainment was OUTSTANDING! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t able to put out 4 meals at same time. One meal was held up due to frier issues. One guest ate their meal when the rest of table were finished. No apology from management. Our waiter seemed stressed. We felt rushed. We enjoyed our brews which are available at different venues.
