When we started Big Top Brewing Company, there were no craft breweries in the Sarasota area and we set out to fix that. We wanted to compliment Sarasota’s historical associations with The Ringling Circus, performing arts, great architecture, the best art and design schools and world renown tourism.

The best way we could do that was to craft beer that our home town can be proud of. We plan to continue the tradition of the arts and help Sarasota add beer town to its identity. Come step under our big top and see for yourself. Big Top Brewing Company artistically crafts world class beers, inspired by our passion, integrity, and the history of our home town.

Spring Kolsch
4.8% ABV Fruity and floral aromas awaken your senses. Pleasent peach flavors please your palate while tropical hop notes bloom to a crisp finish. Spring Kolsch is lightly bodied and refreshing.
Lemon Shandy
4% ABV Light and zesty, this lemon shandy was made for the Florida heat. Enjoy this American lager blended with homemade lemonade all Summer long. We call this beer the perfect refresher!
Pumpkin Stiltskin Ale
8.9% ABV Prepare for a pumpkin ale that is hauntingly good. Every year the Pumpkin Stiltskin rises from the fields and sacrifices his kin to provide the flavors of baked pumpkin, cinnamon, roasted honey, brown sugar, and fresh vanilla beans.
Winter Red Ale
5.5% ABV Light citrus and spruce aromas warmly offer Seasons Greetings. The first sip unwraps sweet malt flavors of toasted caramel and brown sugar. Hops assert their presence with flavors of pine, grapefruit, and spice. Cheers to complex harmony and 60-degree winters!

Rachel was a great server and the food was great! Everyone was happy with the flavors and the portions. Beer was great, too!

The food arrived promptly and was impeccable. The service was top-notch. I highly suggest trying the bacon jam toast.

We shared a pretzel, wings, french fries and coleslaw. The wings were excellent!! Will definitely order again. Coleslaw good but nothing special, pretzel and fries very good. So many beer choices! Nice atmosphere but very loud. Will try outdoor area next time.

Our first time to Big Top's new location and we truly enjoyed it. From the beer to the food and the great service from Shae. We ate inside but the outdoors seems nice with a big bar area and activities. We will be back!

Great food and service. The only ding is we went in what we thought was the front door (as did 3 other groups). Stood there until a customer told us the check-in was on the other side of the restaurant. Apparently, this was a t-shirt sales station. Servers walked right by us. Maybe a sign? We will be back many times in the future and will be using the ‘front’ door.

It was our first time here, found out we needed to use the patio doors for seating inside. We got one of the round booths up front; it was perfect. Hubby had the shrimp tacos, I had the pork. Both were very tasty. Each had a choice of a side. The side of cauliflower mash was so good, the server was able to tell us part of what was in it. We went for lunch, but will be back for a casual dinner soon. Service was spot on!

The food was good, pretty standard bar fair. The server was attentive. Sat inside, the atmosphere was ok. It wasn’t as loud as I expected it to be, so that was nice. The price for an app, 2 entrees and a NA drink was decent, about $60 with tip.

We had great service, delicious food w/large portions and good beer. The place is huge and impressive. We asked the waitress to turn down the blaring music and they did. But she said that when they got busy, the volume would go up again.
