When we started Big Top Brewing Company, there were no craft breweries in the Sarasota area and we set out to fix that. We wanted to compliment Sarasota’s historical associations with The Ringling Circus, performing arts, great architecture, the best art and design schools and world renown tourism.

The best way we could do that was to craft beer that our home town can be proud of. We plan to continue the tradition of the arts and help Sarasota add beer town to its identity. Come step under our big top and see for yourself. Big Top Brewing Company artistically crafts world class beers, inspired by our passion, integrity, and the history of our home town.

Spring Kolsch
4.8% ABV Fruity and floral aromas awaken your senses. Pleasent peach flavors please your palate while tropical hop notes bloom to a crisp finish. Spring Kolsch is lightly bodied and refreshing.
Lemon Shandy
4% ABV Light and zesty, this lemon shandy was made for the Florida heat. Enjoy this American lager blended with homemade lemonade all Summer long. We call this beer the perfect refresher!
Pumpkin Stiltskin Ale
8.9% ABV Prepare for a pumpkin ale that is hauntingly good. Every year the Pumpkin Stiltskin rises from the fields and sacrifices his kin to provide the flavors of baked pumpkin, cinnamon, roasted honey, brown sugar, and fresh vanilla beans.
Winter Red Ale
5.5% ABV Light citrus and spruce aromas warmly offer Seasons Greetings. The first sip unwraps sweet malt flavors of toasted caramel and brown sugar. Hops assert their presence with flavors of pine, grapefruit, and spice. Cheers to complex harmony and 60-degree winters!

First time here. The couple with us ordered their entrees. My wife and I were not sure what to order as an entree. The waitress left; returned ten minutes later and took my wife's and my order. Needless to say, our friends dinners were delivered ten minutes before my wife's and mine. So we sat and watched them eat. I can't remember that ever happening at a restaurant before. You can get this food at any number of bar/restaurants in the area.

Was pleasantly surprised with the vibe and food quality. Our server was curt and borderline rude from the get go. However Malik and the manager were fantastic and outshined our server’s negativity. The one star on service is for our original server the rest of the service was 5 star.

Food is fantastic, service was great. The restaurant is quite warm. The ceilings are really highly and it’s just impossible to keep it comfortable in there. Look forward to coming back when it’s much cooler out.

We enjoyed everything except w/ the high ceilings it was very loud & hot! Our only other complaint was our appetizer took more than 30 minutes to arrive.

The food and atmosphere was really cool. BUT, the service starting at the front door..was EXCEPTIONAL! Kudo's to the team!!

We sat at a low top table inside. The service was great. The ham and honey pizza was fantastic! I felt like the beer could have been colder. Maybe the beer I ordered was meant to be a little warmer, but I like my beer really cold. It was, however, very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Been there multiple times but this visit was poor. Several beers were very flat and disappointing that the staff did not address
