Big Fish is an unpretentious destination specializing in fresh fish, seafood, and a daily variety of fresh east and west coast oysters.

We are a proud member of the Oceanwise conservation program created by the Vancouver Aquarium. Most of our dishes are created from sustainable seafood sources.

Big Fish is a top three finalist in the Where to Dine Awards three years running - 2010 "Best Wine", 2011 "Best Seafood" and 2012 "Best Seafood".

We've been coming to Big Fish since it first opened and it's still one of our favorite restaurants. The inclusion of the Open Range menu is nice and convenient. I preferred the desserts from there so Andy would go next door and get them since both the establishments were owned by the same people.

Consistently great experiences here. Food and service make it worth the long drive from our far southeast neighborhood. Our server, Glen, was perfect for our table. We were having a good visit with out of town family, telling dad jokes, asking for suggestions and he took care of us so that we want to come back soon.

This was our 3rd time this year and our experience was wonderful! The seafood platter was so delicious. I had the Arctic Char….WOW cooked to perfection and the perfect portion. Service was exactly like our previous visits, attentive, knowledgeable and always welcoming and smiling. We love coming here. Keep up the wonderful service!!

Excellent service, we had limited time - but food served promptly to us. Had the walleye - needed more flavour - very rich ( ? butter) Had chowder - again very heavy on cream base All tasty however and filling meal Nonetheless will go again either this location or the one in Marda Loop

I love the space, decor and vibe of this place. It felt very comfortable. The service was not good by the waitress in any respect. She was not fit for work and should have been sent home for her own well being as well as the service standard (order wasn’t put in after taken, she had to come back to verify order 2x’s, we were given 3 separate orders that did not belong to us, coffee spilled when cups being filled, there were only 4 tables occupied etc) The manager or owner did apologize for the rough service so that was good The food once received was absolutely delicious. Fish and chips was crispy with a thin batter and the fries were amazing. I had the salmon hash with poached eggs and it was delicious with the fish cooked perfectly. The homemade peach jam and homemade ketchup were a great touch.

This was our first time at Big Fish & Open Range-Renfrew, and we were very impressed with the experience, the food was delicious, and the service was great. I cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Food was really good, service was a bit too slow but friendly. Fruit flies were annoying only one toilet in a very small closet. Could be a lotcleaner restaurant.
