We came with the 3 kids and wasn't sure what to expect but on arrival staff were very friendly and helpful, explained everything about the use of passes for the pleasure beach and the zoo and breakfast bookings. We got a very great deal for our visit through the big blue hotel and it made it a very memorable visit , rooms were absolutely stunning with great views and they were immaculate. Good selection for breakfast the next morning too and started us off for our busy day 😊

Unfortunately, not a good day at the office for the Big Blue Hotel (again!). We had to wait over an hour for our mains to arrive, only to find the two steaks were cooked rare (far from what was requested). We were offered a replacement meal to be cooked, but given how long we had already been waiting, we declinded. Once our bill arrived, we were surprised to see that no adjustments had been made for the two almost inedible steaks and long waiting times. We made a point about this and an adjustment was made for only one of the meals. We were past complianting by this point and accepted the bill. Every table around us was complaining about the wait, with two families walking out after waiting 1 hour 40 mins. The atmosphere in the restaurant was poor, to say the least. Granted, the staff worked hard to please the customers, but being told your food will be 5 mins, wears thin after a while. The last time we visited this restaurant, my meal arrived after the rest of the family had already finished theirs. I'm starting to think that the poor service at this restaurant is par for the course, which is a shame, as we like the hotel.

Had dinner here with three grandchildren aged 14, 12 & 9. Food selection was good for them even our hungry teenager. Set menu had good choices plus there was the a la carte which had the usual grills, salads fish etc. Restaurant was quite busy so we had a little wait but our drinks arrived promptly with lots of water available too. The manager was attentive as were the other staff and once or first course arrived the rest followed smoothly. Clean plates all round & can recommend the warm chocolate brownies. Made eating out easy after a busy day in the pleasure beach. Thank you BigBlue.

We ate in the big blue hotel restaurant for 3 nights and enjoyed every meal. The food was very good, the kids loved the make your own pizza and the quality was much better than a lot of other restaurants in Blackpool. The choice of the table d’hote and special menus were great, including vegetarian choices. The first quality and value of all the food was excellent. All the staff were great, very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make every meal an enjoyable and relaxing experience. We will most certainly visit again in future.

Credit, where credit is due. What a transformation from my previous experience. Everything was an absolute delight. Great service and terrific food. We'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work.

Awful experience. Left waiting for lengthy periods for every aspect of the meal. Had to prompt staff numerous times. Genuinely, felt that they had forgotten we were in the restaurant. An experience shared my many fellow diners. Extremely disappointed.

Very quick service at table, menu well explained detailed friendly services enjoyed my first meal well worth my experience at the big blue hotel come again and well good with breakfast very fast service great well and easy parsonage
