Big Bear Brewing Co. opened its doors in July of 1997. Our concept was based on serving fresh brewed beer with quality and creative food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. When we opened, brewpubs were expanding throughout the country. Since then, the brewpub concept has slowed, but not Big Bear. We like to think of our very loyal guests as family, and after 20 years that family continues to grow. We have a strong foundation in this community and are very proud of that achievement. Behind the scenes of any successful restaurant is a devoted staff… we have many who have been with us since the beginning. Consistency breeds success and for that we thank our crew.

The reason for my husband and I going to Big Bear was a gift certificate given to us. And, I will definitely go again it was awesome.

Great service. Seated right away . Server greeted us as soon as we were seated. Drinks served quickly. Food was exactly what we ordered . Delicious !

My wife and I had an extremely difficult day visiting a terminal relative. We just wanted a quiet nice dinner we hadn’t eaten since the night before. A lemon drop was ordered and served with no alcohol. The day was difficult so she drank it that was the first mistake. After waiting 20 and asking three different employees the Manager came by. The place was empty. She told the Manager who responded why did you drink it, there’s nothing I can do. My wife explained we’ve had an extremely difficult day visiting a terminal family member. I just thought you should know. No apology offered and said there’s nothing I can do you drank it. I asked for the owner. Second mistake. He was extremely rude and by this point my wife refused to pay for the mocktail. He yelled he would call the Police. We waited 40 minutes paid the bill minus the lemonade paid the waitress a 25% tip on the original total bill. We sat outside for another ten minutes and left. After we left the owner called Police. The Detective called us. He heard our side. The Detective apologized for which no one from Big Bear did. The Detective tried to speak to the owner to come to a resolution. No compromise. My wife paid for the lemon juice. The Detective told my wife leave a review every where you can. He named Yelp Open Table Google. Hence my review. This place lemon drops suck. Seriously not a nice place.

Overall always a great experience! We’ve been coming here for years and the food is consistently good and look with the service!

We go to this Big Bear on a weekly basis. This restaurant is good. This was a bad week for them. We made the reservation, but they told us didn’t have a table to us. We waited like 30 minutes then got put outside, the outside had like 10 tables. 8 of them were empty and we sat at the 9th table and another family at the last one. The waitress barely came.

My first visit! I ordered the Chickie Chicken Salad on croissant with sweet potato fries. Delicious! I ate half and took the other half home. Our waiter, Michael, was attentive and helpful. Not in my neighborhood, but I’d love to go back.

Had a very good experience. The food was good and the server was excellent. She greeted us right away and was quite attentive throughout the meal. Ambience was nice and pricing was in line with expectations. Highly recommend..
