The Bibendum Oyster Bar - a local stalwart - is steered masterfully under the direction of Lyon born 2 Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. The large tiled foyer of the great Michelin building remains, and it’s great for a glass of fizz and a few oysters (there are always many varieties to choose from), and also perfect to stay a bit longer for a more leisurely lunch or dinner.
Expect plenty of fresh seafood; oysters, langoustine and the signature seafood platters - alongside a comprehensive yet affordable wine list.

As well as dining inside the main "house", there are seats outside in the semi-open courtyard, and also in the prime spot of streetside on Fulham Road. If it does turn a little chilly, there are also some luxury blankets…

On an English summer evening Bibendum is the place to while away an hour or two. Excellent food and delightful service makes watching the world go by makes is wonderful.

I have been coming to the oyster bar since I was a teenager. The fruit de Mers, oysters and all the lovely staff, service and in a beautiful building was always a treat to look forward to. Fast forward 30 over years and for nostalgia’s sake we decided to go for lunch. The fishy smell was quite distinct, we were put in a corner on the outside bit where a fly was bothering us, the dover sole was undercooked and raw by its head, smothered in a very strange curry butter which didn’t pair well. A good sole only needs butter and lemon. My friend’s crab salad had a completely bland sauce. We were given 2 desserts to compensate for the sole. Both were mediocre. Staff were efficient and nice enough. But the food was very dissappointing. The elegance and finesse was lacking.

A perfect seafood feast in London! We carefully planned our return since passing London in March. No surprises, we tried most of the fresh oysters; mussels in white wine were so delicate; while the soup was so rich! Naturally, kids had to try steak tartar with delicious fries! Amazing feast, sublime service and festive atmosphere! We will be back! Thank you the team!

Buzzy a great place for lunch with friends, the staff are great as well, very friendly and helpful especially Nicola. Will definitely be back there again soon.
