Bianca is a modern American restaurant and bar in Chestnut Hill that specializes in wood grilling, wood fire pizza, and a variety of dishes inspired by global flavors and cuisines. Bianca means a clean slate, a virtual white plate primed for delicious expression and ready to transport you to far off places. From classic dishes done with care to the truly unique, Bianca presents a luxe dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere that is as comfortable as our own homes. Owners Chef Tim Cushman and Restaurateur Nancy Cushman are the husband & wife team behind James Beard Award Winning o ya and Hojoko in Boston.
RESERVATION POLICY: If you need to cancel, notify 24 hours prior to your reservation to avoid a $15 per person cancellation fee. Children 12 & under must have an adult(18+) at the table.
A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties larger than 6.
Our patio is open seasonally. We do not take patio reservations, but will seat reservations at the next available patio table if requested.

We love going to Bianca. Easy access and parking. It is cute without feeling too casual. And the food is outstanding! The only strange part is that service varies dramatically from time to time. I suppose weekends are harder to staff? Regardless, we waited 30 min. before someone decided to take our order. Randomly, if you were lucky they could take your order right away e.g. 'assertive' couple next to us. My drink arrived after we finished our appetizer. When asked if they had Dijon mustard (which they had in the past), first waiter said "OK" (nothing happened for a while), and second waiter brought a tiny cup of yellow mustard. Fine, I will have it with my ketchup. With our bellies happily full, we risked ordering coffee and tea, plus a cookie. 10 min. later a multilayer cake landed on our table (???). Don't get me wrong, Caesar salad, breakfast burgers (Wagyu!), cocktail (As You Wish), Valrhona chocolate cookie w/sea salt, and even the espresso/tea were fantastic. But staff can be utterly distracted, even if they did not seem to run super-busy.

The burger was phenomenal, the wood-fired pizza delicious, and the staff was excellent. We had a couple of diners with food allergies and the staff was really attentive to them.

The food at the restaurant was decent, but unfortunately, it was served at staggered times. This made it difficult for our group to enjoy the meal together. There were 4 of us and 2 ordered salads, 1 ordered pizza, and 1 a pasta dish. The pizza came out at the same time as appetizers and a half hour before the other dishes and one salad came 15 min after all others received food. We told the server to take the pizza back so it can come out with the dinners but she said pizzas always come out when they are ready. There is no reason for any restaurant to serve food like this, especially with things as easy as pizza and salad. While each dish tasted fine, the lack of coordination in timing and chaotic serving dampened the overall dining experience. On balance it was overall disappointing given the value and experience.

Drinks took a long time to come out, but manager brought them over and apologized; food was pretty good and our waitress was so so so awesome

The staff seems genuinely happy to be there and it comes through in the service. The most consistent and enjoyable dining experience in the area. Great playlist too!
