Although their food was perfection, the service was hands down the most horrific experience of my life (and I have 10 years experience serving in my late teens and early 20s....I've seen it all). He was so frustrated and flustered (I'm assuming with the whole 6 table section he had) that he literally rushed us to order, refusing to take only our drink and appetizer order saying we had to order every thing all at once that he's too busy to do it any other way and rushed off telling us to get everything ready for him. When his fellow server came over to help (we had been there about 25 minutes and hadn't ordered yet) our guy came rushing over and literally "shoed him away" telling us how irritated he was that he kept trying to "take his tables". He then continued to roll his eyes at me when I asked to add mushrooms to my dish. "Oh you want a special order like this other table? Their food came out so late because he wanted to change everything and now you do". Excuse me? It took the owner over hearing this and told him to do it. Once we ordered he didn't care about us any more. No drink refills, no check up on food, no dessert offers, he didn't even care to come around and ask if we wanted the bill after our dishes sat at the end of the table for a good 20 minutes. In fact, when I stopped him to ask for a dessert menu he rushed right by saying yes and never came back. Another 15 minutes goes by and we had to ask someone for our bill. It took 3 people to flag him down to get our bill. I did not feel welcomed at all or appreciated as a guest. This is a finer restaurant and all the ones I've been to their service matches how amazing the food usually is. This guy has to be related to the owners, not sure how he still has his job. I know there was another table in our section who had a big issue with him too.

Beautiful historical building of Toronto City Hall of 1850. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto. Well worth the money for quality of Cooking, Ambiance and Service. Highly recommend .

First visit to Biagio on King St. and my first impression is very good. Food and service were excellent and wine selection is outstanding (was even given a tour of the basement wine cellar). Only challenge they may be facing is there were no people in the restaurant on a Friday night @ 6:30pm (and even when we left there were only another party of 3). Generally good spots are packed so we either found a gem (and won't tell anyone) or people need to get there. Great spot for a special dinner as the service was outstanding! Would higher recommend this place for an elegant, quiet but comfortable dinner experience. Will be back (even if by ourselves!).
