SHARED PASSION
For owners Mishal and Sundeep, food has always been a way to bring families, friends and communities together, a way to celebrate life and share stories.
Mishal vividly remembers fragrant aromas and laughter filling the air at garden parties as her father cooked in huge pots over a coal stove. It was here that her passion for food began, inspired by her father’s experimental and creative dishes.
For Sundeep, it’s the childhood trips back to India and memories of eating fresh dhal and fluffy rotis at roadside cafes in Punjab that he savours most. The atmosphere, the aromas and the flavours all evoke a delightful sense of coming home.
And it is his innate understanding of the link between food and celebration that helped Sundeep build a successful banqueting business in the heart of North West London.
It’s this passion, this emotional connection and joy for eating that the couple now bring to Bhageecha.
Friday and Saturday after 7pm, kids under the age of 10 aren't allowed

Overall a memorable experience. The food was very good except for the talka daal which had homogenised to a thick consistency. The Tawa Fish was excellent, as was all vegetarian food. Unfortunately we did not sample the non vegetarian items. The restaurant has a very agreeable ambience thanks to the decor, lighting and abundant glass walls and windows which must create a great daylight setting. The venue is ideal for hosting small private parties. The staff were stretched but managed very well with politeness. Thank you Bhageecha for making my daughter’s birthday an event to cherish!

We went as a family of 4 to celebrate my wife's birthday, having not visited Bhageecha previously. Food was good but didn't justify the price tag compared to other similar high end Indian restaurants (e.g. Bayleaf Whetstone). Service was disappointing. Very slow particularly with drinks. The ordered poppadoms never arrived, despite us being charged for them. We didn't dispute the bill as it was only a small amount (£2) and as the service had been so slow, we didn't have time for a further delay. We were seated very close to a large family celebration, despite plenty of other tables available in the restaurant. We were constantly knocked and bumped by various members of that party during our meal, which somewhat spoiled our own celebration. On balance, it was ok, but not somewhere we would visit again.

Food was very nice, though not exceptional, but the service was a struggle. We had to ask twice for both water and the bill, and the whole meal took two and a half hours. For a quiet Tuesday lunch time I see no reason why they were so slow and it definitely impacted on our enjoyment.

We went for a special meal to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday and we were not disappointed! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious (the festive cocktails with mock snow effect and gingerbread were a particularly nice surprise), the service was brilliant (friendly, professional and attentive) and the ambience was really special. Thank you so much for making it such a wonderful experience!

Overall it was nice and the atmosphere was good. Food was also nice but a bit on the pricey side but I guess you pay extra for the area. It was very busy but service was good.
