This beautiful, historic room - located on the first floor of our York tea room - is steeped in history and provides the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea. You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a selection of savouries, indulgent sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible dainty cakes and scones. Enjoyable experience - staff were very attentive- great you could have a second round of sandwiches (always my favourite bit). Definitely worth booking if visiting York Christmas Market.

I have been to bettys for afternoon tea in the Belmont suite for the last few years and always been very nice but this year me and my family was disappointed in the service and food especially the service. We will not be coming in the future as the price price was not worth it .

Brilliant from start to finish. Anne our waitress was extremely professional, polite helpful and explained all the selections of the festive menu that we had chosen. Certainly recommend, definite 5 star food and hosting.

Lovely service, food was really nice. Enjoyed having the piano player in the background. Would recommend.

Lovely atmosphere very presentable staff very friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble as much food as you could eat have been a few times and everytime was lovely highly recommended if in York

Betty’s was as always a beautiful place for a treat of afternoon tea, the atmosphere is amazing, food was delicious, great value for money. We visited at 2pm we were not rushed to leave the table so had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves, and to top it all it left us feeling full for the rest of the day. Overall a thoroughly wonderful experience

Fabulous food. Service very courteous and efficient. Jazz pianist really added to the ambience. Thank you for a fantastic experience. We will definitely be visiting again.

Never knew about this place was told by someone eles definitely book ahead then no queuing will be needed otherwise the que stretches around the corner. It was a lovely experience and one we intend to repeat. It was our wesding anniversary and was gifted some chocolate which was extremely thoughtful.
