    My Mum and I booked afternoon tea for two just for the experience as we had done nothing like it before. I have to say I was blown away by the experience. We were looked after by our lovely server Angela, who was professional and very kind. There was a pianist playing renditions of classic songs which added to the already very relaxing atmosphere. We requested to change items from the set menu which they were more than happy to do and even suggested popular choices; I chose to swap the egg mayo sandwich for the tomato and avocado one from the vegan menu. Hot drinks and sandwiches were fully replenishable at no extra cost! You get the table for an hour and a half which was just the right abount of time to slowly work through the plates of delicious foods. Make sure you have a sweet tooth on the day as two scones with jam and cream followed by three small but rich and sweet cakes is harder than you might imagine! Neither of us could manage all the cakes so Angela boxed what was left for us to take home with us, along with a small box of complimentary chocolates each! We were also able to order items from the shop downstairs, Angela brought over a tablet and let us view the items and order what we wanted, then the items were boxed and bagged and brought straight to our table! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be going again ♥

    A warm welcome when we arrived, and a question about whether we were celebrating something special. We explained that it was my late partner’s birthday, and she had loved Bettys. A while after we’d started our tea, other tables had cakes brought out, and the pianist played happy birthday. Our waitress came to us with a little cake box in a bag, explaining that she thought we might prefer something quieter. We were so touched by the staff thoughtfulness. They’d even included a candle. Sandwiches were delicious - we had two lots! Everything else was lovely too, and there was plenty of teapot replenishing. Great choice of drinks, super service from an excellent team.

    It was a fantastic afternoon. The staff were amazing, very helpful and really looked after us. The food was amazing, there was no rush. The Belmont room was art deco which was a really lovely place.

    This was a fantastic experience and I will definitely be returning. The tea and food was incredible. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend it.

    A fabulous experience with friends. Polite and attentive staff - all very welcoming. Food was delicious. Venue decor was lovely. Thoroughly recommend.

    We booked a afternoon tea, it was all we expected and more! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee were amazing, we loved everything about it, we were full, content and happy when our afternoon tea ended. Highly recommend.

    We had the bookable afternoon tea at £50pp, it wasn’t worth the money at all! Food was just average, nothing special at all!

    It was absolutely lovely. But I couldn’t believe how some people were dressed?! If you are going somewhere as nice as Bettys then at least make an effort. I think you should definitely be a little stricter on dress code. Overall it was an amazing birthday experience with my fiancé. Loved the ladies toilets as well.

    Amazing champagne afternoon tea. Pianist was very talented and played lovely music. Waitress was pleasant and friendly and provided excellant service. Would derfinately visit again
