A fantastic Valentines afternoon tea with my husband - maitre d who welcomed us was very accommodating, friendly and efficient - she ensured my food allergies were accommodated and we were made to feel very comfortable - as we were the first there, gave us first choice of the window seats, which was very kind of her as I needed a bit more space being disabled and walking with sticks! Louis our server was also very attentive and gave outstanding customer service. The live piano player gave the whole room an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. Neither of us drink alcohol but there was so much choice of teas, coffee and soft drinks in limitless supplies - I tried the Cylon Sapphire Blue loose tea - it had a lovely smooth taste to it which was very refreshing indeed! My husband had the Assan and later tried the Darjeeling which he too thoroughly enjoyed. I decided to try the coffee so ordered a black one but asked Louis for a recommendation on which one was the smoothest - a lovely caffetiere of rich smooth coffee - all drinks were piping hot and the loose tea had additional hot water that stayed very hot indeed. The food - each morsel was delicious - so much so I had an additional sandwich (which I’ve never done before) all the accompanying savouries were perfect! The scones were so light they simply melted in your mouth - the other cakes were so well presented it was a shame to eat them but the tangy orange maccaron was unbelievable - I’m not keen on chocolate desserts but I’ve now been converted as the dark chocolate was amazing and the mousse filling as light as a feather The whole experience was on par with Claridges in London - it was that good! The set menu did not disappoint and we can highly recommend this so book a table soon!

It was wonderful from the moment we walked in the door, the environment is wonderful, the food was wonderful and all the staff were fabulous.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. I booked an Afternoon Tea as an early Valentines present and Betty’s were excellent. We were guided to our well set-up table and coats hung up. Our waitress was excellent, always making sure we were looked after, going above and beyond. The sandwiches were delicious, delectable scones with cream and jam topped off with fantastic cakes and macaroon. We washed it all down with a glass of rosé champagne and a selection of delightful teas. Cannot recommend highly enough, worth a visit!

Betty’s offers a first class service in terms of quality and delivery, in an environment of a bygone era. Lovely to celebrate a special birthday with an elderly relative.

Very good service, could not fault our waitress Ann. Food very good if expensive, but I know we are paying for the experience.

Our experience was somewhat disappointing. Upon arrival, we were surprised that our coats were not taken; instead, they were simply hung on the backs of our chairs. The atmosphere in the Imperial Suite was underwhelming—it was too bright and lacked ambience. Additionally, the sound of clanking cutlery from the kitchen/staff room was quite distracting and did not contribute to a relaxing dining experience. The food was largely unremarkable, with nothing particularly memorable apart from the cheese and ham sandwiches. That said, the service was excellent. Patricia and Victoria were exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of.
