These beautiful, historic rooms - located on the first floor of our Harrogate tea room- are steeped in history and provide the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea.

You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a lavish selection of dainty sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible miniature cakes and scones.

This was booked as a special treat for my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. It’s not every day you can afford the luxury of a Bettys afternoon tea. I just feel that the amount of money they charge for this is too much. I’m not sure how they can justify £50 for a few finger sandwiches and miniature cakes.

Beautiful ambience with the piano in the background. Good food with sandwich top up and fresh tea top ups (not just adding water) make for excellent value for money. Our most favourite was the sundried tomato tart amuse bouche. Finished off with friendly and attentive service. A perfect way to spend an afternoon of quality time together.

This was an excellent afternoon tea experience . Very enjoyable, plenty of tea and sandwiches. Lovely atmosphere and lovely waitress Gail. She was so attentive and obviously very proud to be part of the Bettys team. Highly recommended

We loved our afternoon tea experience and the atmosphere and quality of food and service was excellent. I’d definitely come back. It is expensive but then Bettys is an institution so….

An utterly delightful experience but very pricey for what it is. Took our two teenagers (16/18) and they thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere/ambience (as did we). However, bearing in mind that you are having a couple of sandwiches, a couple of small cakes, £50pp is a pretty hefty price tag - even if the selection of teas is amazing and the service superb.

Chose Bettys Tea Rooms for the famous Afternoon Tea to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Chose to go upstairs to enjoy the ambiance of the pianist playing whilst we dined. Well worth booking in advance as there is always a queue outside the shop on a daily basis. A fantastic experience for anyone wanting the ultimate afternoon tea.

Fantastic afternoon tea dining experience. Live piano playing, lovely food, exemplary service - nothing at all to fault. Even the weather cooperated! A perfect way to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Our server, James, was fantastic.
