These beautiful, historic rooms - located on the first floor of our Harrogate tea room- are steeped in history and provide the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea.

You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a lavish selection of dainty sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible miniature cakes and scones.

    Relaxed atmosphere. Food was Xmas menu for Afternoon Tea. It was ok, piano background was nice. Service was attentive, didn't feel rushed at the 2pm booking for 90 mins table. A worthwhile birthday treat

    Had a lovely festive afternoon tea on the 6th December. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice experience.

    What a wonderful dining experience! Pre-booked festive tea and added a glass of prosecco. The food is lovely and service impeccable.

    Afternoon Tea in the Imperial Lounge. Very welcoming, friendly staff, great service and food with pianist playing a range of tunes to one corner of the room. Opportunity to purchase items from the shop and they will be brought to the table when leaving. Would recommend and will return when visiting the town again.

    Positive point was they allowed us in early, however it hadn’t been made clear to us that even with a 4.00 pm sitting you have until 5.30 pm on Sunday. We had the festive champagne afternoon tea, disappointing I’m afraid. No real festive treats apart from a macaroon that looked like a reindeer. Sandwiches could have had turkey, cranberry, and instead of a horribly sweet lemon cake thing, why not mince pies or Christmas cake. Usual bland scone , cream and tiny amount of jam. To add insult to injury we went to the RHS Harlow Carr the next day, less than 10 minutes from Harrogate city centre and it has an excellent Betty’s restaurant that had the afternoon tea for nearly £20 per person CHEAPER, and with more festive offerings like mince pies. So lesson learnt, never go to the one in town, especially if you are in a car and have to pay for parking, drive to RHS Harlow, free to park and free to get into restaurant, fantastic setting overlooking the gardens, impeccable service and you will also save a small fortune.

    Afternoon tea in the Imperial Suite was excellent, the food delicious, the staff very friendly and professional. With replenished sandwiches and tea we were very full by the end of the evening. The ambience is very relaxing with piano music playing in the background. The only minor concern was that the room was very warm, Overall a very enjoyable experience and highly recommended.
