We were seated below the air conditioner between the road and the pizza oven. When we asked for another option we were told (despite numerous empty tables) that the picnic table was the only other choice. It was directly downwind of the garbage. My wife was scolded by the hostess who indicated that we had been seated at her mother’s favourite table. While that might be true it was very warm and the heat, noise from the ac unit and smell from the bin were unbearable. We have been regulars and always enjoy the food. Last night, despite having a reservation and arriving early to a fairly empty restaurant, we felt the quality of the service and the style of communication fell short. The hostess went on in elaborate detail to explain why these two tables were our only choices. I am willing to be patient as it was a warm day and perhaps had been a long shift but there was a scolding tone that was unbecoming in service industry and we had simply asked for a different table.

We had a disappointing experience after having heard wonderful things. Having booked in for brunch, we were excited to start our morning with mimosas and disappointed to learn the restaurant had run out of orange juice “earlier in the week”. Considering OJ is pretty easy to find at any of the stores in town, we were bummed. We settled on grapefruit mimosas instead and would have happily had seconds had anyone asked us during the meal. The lobster Mac and cheese was flavourless. The croissant BELT was missing bacon and the croissant terribly soggy. The pizza was good but pricy - $30 for a personal pizza. Elliott (I think?) was delightful, engaging with our table while they cooked. Our server was a bit slow. The meals arrived at different times. The restaurant itself is beautiful and we perhaps just had bad luck because it does come so highly recommended. We were really disappointed with our meals but it was a gorgeous space and the wood fired oven was unique and fun to watch. The staff were all pleasant and friendly. Will try again when we’re next in the area but probably not for brunch!

Bonne variété de pizza fines et belle terrasse illuminée derrière le resto pour un repas en soirée.

We had a wonderful night at Betty’s!! The old typewriters were a hit with us! Great pizza and great music!

Great value. Music is good,but it could've been a little softer because of small space.very enjoyable.

The wine selection was sparse. It took 4 attempts to get bottle of wine!! Food is very localized. Not much variety. The Clawford pizza had a very very tiny piece of lobster on each piece. Not impressed. It was dry and not appetizing. Altogether great disappointment for our anniversary.

The food was fantastic, just like home cooking. Our waiter was very accommodating and took great care of us.

Well, I've been to Betty's several times, and last night was a night to celebrate my birthday, and it was slightly disappointing. The service was friendly, but they forgot to take part of our order, so our friend was waiting for her lobster appetizers. Meanwhile, we were all done with ours and on to our mains. I knew something was wrong, and our waiter had forgotten to put hers on the order. So I called a different waiter who handled the lobster. They were lovely!! Got to it right away. But then took forever for the 2nd appetizer, so when I asked our main waiter where it was, he passed the buck on to the other guy who actually picked up for him and his mistake earlier. " OH, Elliott handles that," rather than going and getting it. The music was wayyyyyyy too loud last night. And we love going to Betty's for the music, but inside and having 5 instruments was just far too much, and we couldn't even think! We had to move outside. Just overwhelming! Our original waiter pretty much left us at that point. The owner came over and got our bills. She pointed out that the new staff were an adjustment, which kinda sucks because eating out is expensive, and I get there are times it's not always smooth, but we have been many times, and this is not the case. It just sucks that it was off on my birthday celebrations. Overall, last night was a miss, but most of the time, it's a hit. I think the music needs to be dialled down a little when inside; this is the first time we've been there, and it's been so loud you are yelling at each other.
