Best Quality Daughter houses a vibrant, chic décor and new, unique Asian-American menu. In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. Today Best Quality Daughter is located in the historic Mueller House at the Pearl Brewery. Curated by chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, Best Quality Daughter's menu takes inspiration from her travels and the comfort food of her youth as a second-generation Chinese-American.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Chef and owner Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin realizes her vision of bringing more Asian American women chefs to South Texas at Best Quality Daughter, and it's earned her a James Beard nom and loads of local fans. Dobbertin unabashedly combines Asian and global flavors in unique dishes like salt and pepper shrimp with Thai chimichurri or rice chips with mapo hummus, resulting in this singular restaurant in the historic Mueller House that is so very San Antonio.

First time and will definitely be back! Lisa did a great job as our server! Cashew chicken sooo good. Great cocktails! We also had pork belly and fried rice. All the food and drinks were delicious!

The restaurant is decorated adorably. The foot was excellent we love the spice and the rice was so good. Also recommend the Brussels sprouts. The service was excellent and food was delivered on time. Oh the drinks were delicious.

My husband and I ordered the cashew chicken lunch and it was delicious. My husband said the spring roll side was really good and their kale salad side was also tasty. The dressing was good. I’d recommend this place for sure.

Staff was wonderful! My drink was perfect! The food was delicious, perfectly spiced, strong but not over powering flavors. I will be going back next time I’m in San Antonio. I dined alone and my waitresses and bartender were very helpful picking items that would be good left over as it is family style meals. And they gave me reconditions for other great restaurants tomorrow night.

If you go, cashew chicken is a must. The dish that saved our dinner, it was amazing! Limited menu with no real options for picking eating kids. The one dish that we ordered for my picky child was the garlic noodles, that dish came out very late. We had all already finished our meal plus they did not put anything on the side as requested. We ordered 3 apps that were ok, nothing memorable. Music was a tad too loud, we left as soon as done because we couldn’t talk. I really wanted to love this place, had high expectations.

Very nice ambiance, excellent food and drinks and great service. Limited menu, but everything we had was excellent. By far the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the region and top 5 overall.

Not your ordinary dishes! The creativity is exceptional! We got the famous Cashew Chicken and it did not disappoint! Flavors were amazing and I felt good after eating which is a plus! We also enjoyed the hush puppies and the garlic noodles! Again, not like anything you’ve tasted before. Our server was great, and knew a lot about the menu ! Service was fast and the price, well let’s just say the value was a steal! Wished we lived here we would have to eat there at least weekly! Loved it!!
