Our focus is on delivering delicious local Northumbrian produce in a warm and welcoming environment. Our day menu (which operates on a walk-in basis only) is full of local favourites. Whether you are looking for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch or just some delicious coffee and cake we have something for everyone.

Transitioning into our evening bistro service from 5.30pm onwards, we present a refined yet flavourful menu. Our chefs select trusted local suppliers renowned for procuring the finest quality ingredients, which they craft into irresistible dishes for your enjoyment. Complemented by an extensive wine selection, our offerings provide the ideal blend for a laid-back evening of exquisite dining.

We ate twice there this week while on holiday and on both occasions it was fabulous. really interesting options, beautifully prepared, honestly incredible food. We live abroad and eat out a lot and it is easily comparable to anything anywhere and considerably cheaper than other places. The wine choices are very good. The staff are lovely as well. Honestly could not have asked for anything more, well done chef and staff!!

Fabulous food, I had 3 starters which were all amazing, plenty of food! The wine was great value, NZ, the crepes suzette I shared with him indoors was huge but delicious. The staff are lovely and a great ambiance.

We first visited about two weeks after the restaurant first opened. We had a bad experience and gave a review accordingly. We visited again last night and the improvement was immeasurable. Everything was absolutely first class. At long last Warkworth has a restaurant to be proud of. We will now make it a regular.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Bertrams. Food outstanding. Hubby had haggis followed by feather blade steak and then 3 x enormous profiteroles! I had belly pork and scallops followed by the most amazing hake topped with crab crust..... service was friendly and efficient. Veried drinks menu too. We look forward to our next visit.
