Set in the revitalized James St. North neighbourhood, Berkeley North is a West Coast inspired restaurant located on historic King William Street in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Berkeley North is the go to spot for a quick bite to eat, weekend late night cocktails, celebrating a special occasion or hosting a private party. Our young and passionate culinary team follows no scripts or rules when creating vibrant and unique dishes. We allow the seasons to influence our changing menu and are committed to using responsibly sourced ingredients. Ultimately, what is most important to us is the way you feel from the time you walk in our door to the time you leave. Our staff genuinely delivers a dining experience like no other in the city.

    Dined in with my husband, and after we walked out, we couldn’t stop talking about the food. For our appetizer, we ordered the Carrots, Carrots Carrots cause the name caught our eye, and we ended up loving it. For the main, we had the steak frites, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The wine selection was also impressive and paired beautifully with our meal. Given the quality and portion sizes, we felt it was great value for money. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we enjoyed every moment!

    The atmosphere was great and the service very nice. We found the tasting menu of a great value and serve two very well.

    Had an amazing dinner at Berkeley North! The ambience was cozy and modern, and the staff were super friendly.The food was beautifully presented.Absolutely loved the Island Trout. Portions were satisfying and definitely value for money. Highly recommend

    Had an absolutely fantastic experience at the restaurant. My husband planned a surprise dinner for us and both the host and servers Teagan and Ramona made it an outstanding evening for us. The food was delicious with unique menu items and the service was really good as well. Will visit again for sure

    I rarely write reviews and Berkeley North deserves one. I hosted a business meeting and I wanted to impress the client and what better than a restaurant with a michelin nod. The music was not too loud so perfect for conversations. Service was timely and ambience was cozy. BN salad is a must try, the dressing was an absolute wonder. My client and I left the restaurant discussing the amazing food.

    Really enjoyed our time at Berkeley North today. The gnocchi tasted great and for desserts we had the chocolate cake which was AMAZING. The server made excellent wine pairing suggestions and because they had Wine Wednesday and we got our wine at 50% off. The music played was just at the right volume. Coming back for my birthday next month!Looking forward to their tasting menu.
