Set in the revitalized James St. North neighbourhood, Berkeley North is a West Coast inspired restaurant located on historic King William Street in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Berkeley North is the go to spot for a quick bite to eat, weekend late night cocktails, celebrating a special occasion or hosting a private party. Our young and passionate culinary team follows no scripts or rules when creating vibrant and unique dishes. We allow the seasons to influence our changing menu and are committed to using responsibly sourced ingredients. Ultimately, what is most important to us is the way you feel from the time you walk in our door to the time you leave. Our staff genuinely delivers a dining experience like no other in the city.

    10 out 10 on all aspects. That food was amazing. The service timely and the ambiance energetic. This is not a quiet place. I would recommend this to anyone for fine dining.

    I had an amazing experience at Berkeley North. My husband and I went to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I mentioned it in my reservation and they gifted us a dessert, a lovely gesture. The whole experience was great, from the food to the service and the ambience. We will definitely be back!

    The food was disappointing - everything was fried and a bit one-note. We have been before and loved all the food. Last night not so much. The service as always, was fantastic.

    Tasting menu was delicious and the perfect amount of food for a couple! BN salad is a must .. wish I knew the recipe for the dressing

    Dumplings and carrots were superb. Salad was much too creamy. Eggplant batter was too thick and heavy. Trout was cooked beautifully but dowsed in too much oil around it. Meal felt very heavy afterwards.

    The duck gnocchi was blah; the Caesars had far too much Worcestershire sauce in them; the waiter and waitress were nice but both dropped cutlery; and the restaurant had to comp 3 drinks because they didn't arrive until our meals were over! (a nice gesture though).
