"A unique and beautiful pizzeria in one of the hidden gems of South London; Venn St"

We opened our pizzeria in Clapham a few years ago with a simple mission; serve great food in a beautiful space, like with all of the Berberè sites. Now, a few years later we have lovely local following that come in droves, especially at the weekend.

Although open all year round, from springtime onwards you can sit outside on the terrace with a negroni, glass of prosecco or a craft beer and transport yourself to Italy, surrounded by festoon lights and olive trees. Inside, you'll find two beautiful rooms with an open kitchen that spreads across the two sides. If you're lucky and book enough in advance, you could hire the side room for a private booking (up to 40 people). We've had people celebrate birthdays galore, wedding parties, end of exam parties to name a few - you name the occasion and we'll sort the party.

We use organic tomatoes and organic extra virgin olive oil from Puglia (Alce Nero). Fiordilatte mozzarella arrives fresh from Napoli and the organic flour is from Emilia Romagna (Molini Pivetti). Wines are from winemakers who drink their own wine.

Allergies: Whilst we have good controls in place to reduce the risk of contamination, we cannot 100% guarantee our dishes will be allergen free. If you have any specific allergies, let us know and we’ll bring out a full allergen list to help you decide safely and we’ll take extra care preparing your dish.

Veggie Cheese: We import most of our cheese from Italy which means that they are made using traditional methods often using animal rennet. We still like to think of these as vegetarian, so if you want to make sure your meal is 100% vegetarian, please opt for one of our vegan dishes.

Service charge: All tips are gratefully received, and 100% goes to our team. A discretionary 12.5% service charge is added. Drinks with sugar are now subject to an additional 10p HMRC drinks levy.

Terrible. Rude staff who refused to give us our booked table, because it wasn’t ready and asked us to stand outside in the February weather and rain on a Saturday night. We asked to stand inside out of the way, and she said if we didn’t stand outside, she wouldn’t allow us to sit down. We didn’t even get to enjoy our dinner and went and spent our money else where.

The vibe is great really authentic little Italian pizza place, the food is incredible and the staff are super friendly and helpful

Very good pizzas—the sourdough is amazing! However, the quality of the toppings could be improved. For example, in the Norma, the main ingredient should be aubergines, but they were quite scarce, and there is an excess of pesto, which is not in the original recipe. Similarly, in the smoked Margherita, the smoked cheese was almost unnoticeable. This is true for most of their pizzas. Overall however, it's one of the best pizza places in London, with excellent service and reasonable prices. The outdoor seating in the pedestrian street makes it a great spot, especially in the summer. However, the indoor area can be very noisy.

Great pizza! Waiter was super attentive for the first half and then dropped off a bit but I think it just got busier. Would recommend doing a half and half with someone though as the pizza is quite big so you’ll get bored of the flavour half way through!

Great food and really good value. We had a booking for 7:30pm and had to wait 15 mins outside to be seated but other than that the service was great.

Booked a table of ten, 6 children in booking. Ordered kids meals (pizza, drink, ice cream), waiter came back a few minutes later to say there’s no apple juice available today - only fizzy drinks with the kids meals. We also ordered a limited edition pizza for an adult as part of the order (cards marketing this on every table). A few minutes later the waiter comes over to say it’s not available any longer. None of this info was said upfront or barely with an apology for the inconvenience. Also ordered half pints of beer, had to chase twice and then full pints arrived. Overall it just felt really unprofessional for the price being paid and as one of the first customers of the day you don’t expect that. Loved this place before and have recommended it to lots of friends with children, but would struggle to recommend it after the customer service received today. When I made a comment to the person who looked like they were managing, it was met with a very blaze/so what attitude. Such a shame
