the food was great, along with the service. It is an old gas stattion hence the name Benzina ( Italian for gasoline). We have been there twice in the last couple of months.

Our experience at Benzine has been reliably good for the past three years since we started going. The food and drinks are all good to great and the service is never slow. I’m hungry for some bread hot from the oven with a bowl of cacio e pepe right now.

Food was amazing. Drinks were really good. On the dining room side it gets a little loud but nothing you can't deal with. We already made reservations for the next time.

This place is a real gem. If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine, Chef Danny is a master at his craft and stays faithful to serving fresh Italian ingredients in creative dishes. If you are looking for a menu with dozens and dozens of items that you can customize as well as build-your-own-pizzas for just a few dollars, this is NOT the place for you. The menu is very select and changes seasonally and it never ceases to delight us with newfound favorites. The rabbit and squash tagliatelle with sage last night was sublime! I'd return tonight for a repeat if I could. And don't get me started on the hot, made-to-order bread with cacio e pepe dipping sauce/foam. Positively addictive. Or, the baby gems Caesar salad with smoked trout and herbed bread crumbs. The wine list features some marvelous, select wines with pricing appropriate for their quality. The vibe here is upbeat and casual and can be a bit "energetic" on a busy night. Overall, a fresh take on an Italian Bistro in a charming retrofitted gas station.

Alexis was an amazing server, the food & drinks were beyond flavorful and enjoyable. The ambience was perfect for a Saturday evening and the pacing was impeccable.

Love this restaurant. Creative Italian food served in an artful manner. Watching the “production” while sitting at the counter gives one a greater appreciation for the careful and masterful preparation by chef Danny and his line crew. All so talented. Kudos!!!

dinner last night - I asked for gluten free pizza and they did not have it - our server was unapologetic - almost rude about it - then when I asked for gf bread a different server said nope - and told me how their chef was off in Italy a few weeks and how their dough needs 3 days to rise do he was gone do no one was making dough - but again never actually said they were sorry that they did not have any gf pizza options when 80% of the menu is pizza.... what a bummer & worse no one seemed to think its an issue to have things on the menu that you can't fulfill - they were also out of the wine I wanted as well - ugh! And for three of us splitting 3 apps & a wine or cocktail was $60+ each - yikes.

The food is excellent!. 3 of us shared the Benzina caprese with heirloom tomatoes & buffalo mozzarella.. the salad dressing (tomato liquor and?) was so good, we saved it to dip our pizza crust in. Ordered the meatball calzone.. delish with yummy meat and tomatoes sauce with sliced and whole garlic. The margherita D.O.P. pizza was so fresh... Bright tomatoes sauce, mozzarella and basil. The pizza that we thought the best was the Porchetta. Oh my! Spicy sauce with sweet tasting ham and salty green and kalamata or Nicoise. Our favorite. The service was very good, too. I will be back when on Denver again. What a gem of a dining experience.
