We love Benihana and continue to come and celebrate birthday’s and special occasions. We are always hopeful that they’re going to get their act together, but they still struggle with wait times and consistency. We waited at our table for 45 minutes before we got our soup and salad. Our chef was great and had our veggies cooked and out to us before we had our soup and salad. The food is always AMAZING but there just continues to be a disconnect between when we are sat down to when service actually starts. My husband and I started to just eat at the bar because it’s so much faster! Tonight was our kids birthday though.

The wait to get our order taken to the wait for our chef to come was too long. Once our cook came he was quiet and didn't say much. For the price we paid we expected a better experience. We we heard other tables loud and having fun that there cook was having.. My first time there and my last

First time having dinner at Benihanas. We were seated at 5pm at communal table with other patrons at 5pm. At 630 we asked the waitress why tables seated after us were already eating dinner and we still didn’t have a chef. She didn’t know and apologized. We asked to speak to a manager. Well apparently our table’s ticket was lost and after many an I’m sorry the chef finally showed up. Sadly by then we were all so irritated it was hard to enjoy the experience…I found it interesting that after an hour and a half of us sitting there we had to bring it to the waitress attention that we were still waiting to eat. First time there will not return!!!

We had reservations for 7 pm. We were seated and waited over an hour for the cook to arrive. Everyone was hungry. To top it all, the waiter didn't get my order right. He didn't order my fried rice and I dint get shrimp till I reminded them it was part of my order. I have never experienced this before. We go to Benihana for our birthday every year. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience last night.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Temecula since they opened, but I’ve recently had two bad experiences. The first I chose to ignore as food can be overcooked any time, but the second I just can’t. I have an allergy to peppers, so when I heard a few people at my table order spicy food, I told the server about it. He asked if I would prefer my food prepared in the back, but I felt this is not what you visit a Teppan restaurant for. I said the dish I ordered was simple and could easily be made before the spicy food. The chef comes out and proceeds to make the chicken fried rice, sections off a small portion for me, then adds the spicy sauce to the rest, stirs and serves it. He put the same utensils into my rice after as I watch in horror. I explain that I can’t eat the rice and he states he will have one made in the back and proceeds to clean the table. I didn’t receive my rice until after my food. The food took a while as well. I just feel that restaurants and chefs in particular should be more allergy aware as it’s a serious issue. So a previously weekly customer is now taking an indefinite break.

The party that was with us was a bit out of their element! Seems as they escaped from some place with high fences . Other than the servers dealing with them they did a very good job dealing with the situation.
