Bench is — (1) A neighbourhood hangout with communal bistro-style dining serving seasonal dishes alongside cocktails, natural wine and beer.

(2) A neighbourhood wine shop.

Please note our policies before booking:

- Our focus is on a communal dining experience so please be aware you may be sharing the table with other guests, socially distanced. We are open until 11pm, last savoury food orders are at 9:30pm.

- The outside terrace and Saturday day time bookings will be offering a separate food menu of light bites, nibbles and what we call "drinking food". The full kitchen menu is available from 6pm Wednesday to Saturday indoors only.

- Standard seats are along the 'Bench'. High-top are tables for two and three on the outside of the room.

- Please note: Bookings between 4pm and 6pm Wednesday to Friday are for 'Aperitivo Hour'. These are 1 hour slots only for drinks, with a small menu of cold snacks available.

Gorgeous lunch at Bench. Excellent choice of dishes, the food was delicious and the service was friendly, informative and efficient. Fantastic choice of wines by the glass too. Highly recommend Bench for high quality and great food.

Most dishes very tasty and nicely presented. However pork was not tender, in fact a bit chewy. Delicious bread and butter, lovely smiley service. Fab martinis!

The best food in Sheffield—gorgeous presentation and brilliant service. We’ve been back several times, and each time it is as impressive as the last. Vegetarian options (and menu) available on request too.

Our meal on Saturday was, as always, excellent. From the moment we arrived the service was spot on, the atmosphere was nice & relaxed, just what you need on a Saturday lunchtime & there was a nice buzz. The food was outstanding, I think we tried most things on the menu, all delicious & beautifully presented. I had my first Frosé, I could get addicted! Thank-you to the Bench team x
