We had a great pre-theater dinner at Benares. Food was excellent, service was superb, and the meal was very memorable. We had high expectations from having done a tasting menu years ago and were happy to find that the 3 course set menu was just as positive an experience.

The food was exquisite with service to match.Mr Singh was the consummate host, enriching the experience with his stories about the history and legacy of the restaurant. Would love to visit again!!

Staff very good & venue lovely. Desserts were delicious. Food was not as good as I thought it would be having 1 Michelin star. It was tasty but not special or unique.

Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff starting with giving us directions over the phone and moving our booking time when we got lost! We were having a pre theatre meal and despite arriving half an hour late we were able to enjoy our meal and still got to the theatre on time. The food was delicious and the portion sizes just right. The advice given by our waiter was spot on. The anniversary treat was a delightful surprise

A lovely experience! We were welcomed with much attention by the restaurant manager and the stuff, even got some free welcome snack from the house. The food was a real pleasure. A great interpretation of traditional indian flavors!
