My boyfriend and I had the best meal and drinks that we’ve had in Ottawa here. The best was the beef tartare, and the Belmont’s signature pork belly open face bread/sandwich. Their own draft beer was good too.

My favourite neighbourhood restaurant. The food is always inventive and delicious, the service is friendly and helpful, the ambience is comfortable and fun. And the cocktails are amazing. You can’t go wrong at the Belmont!

The halibut with risotto was delicious. The scallops were also great although there were only 4, however, I think maybe they should have come with something else on the plate such as a small salad or some rice. The potatoes were very good, and so was the home bread before the meal. The flavors of all were a great taste sensation and perfectly prepared.

My friend and I came to dine at Belmont for the first time and loved the energetic and lively atmosphere. The staff is also pretty cool and friendly and don’t take themselves too seriously. Knowledgeable about the menu, very organized, yet down to earth in dealing with customers. We were checked on a few times to make sure we were enjoying our food and See if we wanted more food or refills but not in a pushy way. The tapas are great for sharing and tasty and the cocktails taste great and are not watered down. The bathrooms are clean. It’s a bit of a tight space, not a large establishment only a few tables, but that just fits the vibe. We enjoyed every minute and every bite. Definitely recommend. This a great spot for a small girls night or date. If you’re looking for a quiet venue this is not it, it’s loud at times with chatter and lively conversations, but that’s not a bad thing - it’s a fun spot. On my way to the washrooms I could overhear the kitchen and it was clear they all work together very well, are creative and can improvise and make each dish unique and delicious. We did not wait long for anything either. Overall, great experience.

As always it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.

Always an amazing time at The Belmont. The service, the absolutely incredible food (so consistently awesome; shout out to the kitchen), and the cool, chill energy, vibe and ambiance. One of our favourite places in the entire city. Thanks to Sam (and the whole team) for making our Saturday night so great.
