Pasta is a particular specialty at Bellisio's Italian Restaurant and you'll find a lot of it on the menu. Pappardelle alla norcina, lobster ravioli with grilled shrimp and rigatoni balsamico are just a few of the specialties of the house. Other entrées include handmade paninis like the Italian grilled cheese and fennel pork and arugula.

Monday nights include 1/2 off all bottles of wine, Champagne and Ports.

My sister had never been to this restaurant. I made the reservation while we were in Duluth enjoying FinnFest USA 2024 and decided to have a nice meal before a concert! Wonderful food, as usual!

Love Bellisio's typically. Amazing wine list and a fun little spot, last night's experience was not a winner for the food. A party of 5, we ordered drinks and a range of small plates. The order of olives contained 12, very small squished olives, (apply that profile to all the options we chose) the grapes on the cheese tray were well into transitioning to raisins and the overall experience from a food perspective was sad. Our server was completely lovely and the space is charming but I'll stick to the wine list and have my meal somewhere else.

All around enjoyment. Warm ,friendly reception when I entered. The meal was served as ordered. The waitress ( Kathy) was very attentive and friendly. Desired items were brought quickly. I ordered the Walleye dinner. The fish fillet was delicious.

We ordered chicken fettuccine and neither of our meals had noodles cooked long enough. Very disappointing when we were recommended to eat here while on vacation. Waitress was exceptional though. We would not dine here again for the prices.

Service was excellent, but the food was just okay. The portion sizes were great for the prices, but everything was egregiously underseasoned. I recognize that “nicer” restaurants (that may employ actual chefs versus line cooks) don’t put salt and pepper shakers on the tables, because everything on the plate should be delivered to the guest perfectly seasoned. I may be alone in this, but I feel disrespectful when I have to ask for salt and essentially unscrew the cap and pour it on my food to get it beyond bland. Would I return? Probably. But only because Bellisio’s was the only place I found that had a decent selection for omnivores and vegetarians, alike.

For Duluth, Bellisio’s is one of the best options for a nice dinner. They have a nice wine list and the service is generally good. One might do best if they avoid ordering the filet and yes, it’s understood that it’s an Italian place so that’s more on me for ordering it. In a meager yet unsuccessful defense, it was offered as a special so again, my bad as they may have been trying to get rid of unsold product. The quality was fine but they over cooked it as they’ve done each and every time we’ve tried over the years. Medium rare shouldn’t be brown throughout no matter what type of restaurant you’re visiting. We discussed it while ordering and were assured that all involved knew what MR was. Unfortunately it seems the only person not understanding was the chef or possibly on this case, the cook. Maybe they should get a Traeger as they always come out perfectly if you shot for 135 and take it off, let it hang for a few minutes possibly lightly covered with foil and there you go, a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. Their pasta is good and their chicken options are always consistently well done. Pro tip(s)… sit in the bar and do not order the steak. Cheers
