reading previous reviews we had expected an authentic Italian experience but sadly that was not the case. My sea bass was cooked well and the sauce was ok, but because I can't eat peppers I was told they were prepared with potatoes and other veg already in so I could have a salad. My husband ordered Saltimboca, a dish he knows well and loves. Unusually it was made with a white wine sauce and pork rather than veal and masala. The meat was not flattened and was tough and he didn't enjoy his meal at all. We quietly pointed this out to the waiter, who was very polite and went and spoke to the chef. We were offered free desserts, which were ok, but not the best. If you are charging top money for a meal you have to get it right and unfortunately this was not. On another note, when the tables in front of us were empty the waitress cleared and sprayed them which I thought was not on whilst we were eating. There was no atmosphere in this restaurant, least of all Italian.

Hi, Thank you for your review. Respectfully, if our menu states clearly that the dish is pork loin with wine sauce then this is what will be served on the plate when you order it, not veal which doesn't exist on our menu. As I explained in person, some people prefer to do it with veal and some people with pork loin. In both cases marsala doesn't exist in any of these recipes. Our menu says pork and white wine so I can't really understand why would you order it , eat it, and complain afterwards? All the plates were empty and as a gesture of good will we gave desserts and cocktails on the house which looks like wasn't enough to make you happy after eating all your food. Also regarding the spray, the table next to you is 2 meters far, so its impossible. All the best

A charming setting on a hot evening, in the shady walled garden at the rear, we enjoyed a convivial supper with good food, excellent service

We had a great meal at Bellini. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pizza was great. The pasta was amazing. Hope to be back again soon!

I really wish I’d said something when I was in the restaurant but the staff were polite and I don’t like offending people but the food was really shockingly poor, my partner had pork but it came out burnt and was a slice of bacon rolled up. I had pasta which was overcooked and lacked any flavours. I’m really sorry but it was the worst Italian food we’ve ever had.

Great food (fab salmon risotto!), friendly and efficient service, sparkling clean glasses and cutlery - and a good house white.
