Overall the food and service were pretty good. We made a reservation 30mins before, got seated quickly and order was taken quick. A bit of a wait time for the food but we went on a Saturday at 6:30pm during peak hours so that was expected. Got the teriyaki burger with fries. Burger didn’t have much teriyaki flavor, double paddies and a lot of cheese. (Tasted like a regular burger and the size was moderate.) the fries were amazing though those stood out. Got the crunchy shrimp which was delicious. Now to how we were being served was good. Our server was nice and checked up on us. It was only my bf and I, so a table of 2. When we asked for a to go box, the check was also given and I saw the bill and it was $83.22 which was no problem. Okay he (the server) came back with the machine for me to sign. He stated “all you need to do is sign and you’re good to go”… tell me why he had already added HIMSELF the 20% gratitude tip…? I removed the tip and signed and bill was paid. I said “thank you” and he left with no word. My boyfriend said his facial expression changed and he looked “mad/bothered” once I removed the tip HE HIMSELF THE SERVER added. I found this rude and not fair. It’s up to the customer if we’d like to leave a tip or not, especially if we are just a party of 2. I read on the menu that parties over 6 were automatically charged the 20% gratitude tip (not sure if that % or more) which is fair and understandable. But to add it yourself and expecting me to pay it when I didn’t choose it is unfair especially only being a party of 2! I don’t know if he did it because we were Latinos (server was Caucasian) and he wanted us to pay more or if it was an accident (which I doubt due to his facial expression after) but it’s unacceptable. I hope they don’t do this to other small parties of 1 or 3. Tips are not mandatory for small parties (unless otherwise stated by restaurant) And to expect a ti

Great restaurant and good food, was a bit loud but I was also with an older crowd. Otherwise would come back with friends for sure!
