Le Bellanico Restaurant & Wine Bar a toujours quelques tables pour les gens qui n'ont pas de réservation. Par contre, il est préférable de contacter directement le Bellanico afin de réserver pour vos évènements. Le Bellanico est une continuité du restaurant renommé de Chris Shepherd et d'Elizabeth Frumusa, le Aperto in Potrero Hill à San Francisco. C'est un restaurant de quartier situé dans le quartier de Glenview à Oakland. Le nom Bellanico est un dérivé des surnoms de leurs filles Bella et Nico. Le personnel du Bellanico est très fier de la nourriture, du service et du vin qui est offert au restaurant. Jonathan Luce, le chef cuisinier, sert une cuisine italienne rustique qui change selon les saisons. Ils sont dédiés à servir les meilleurs produits de saison, locaux, durables et biologiques qu'ils peuvent trouver. Le restaurant utilise du poulet "Pitman Farms", de la viande "Prather Ranch", et du porc "Duroc" ainsi que des poissons et des fruits de mer capturés dans leur environnement naturel. Il dispose également d'un bar à vin proposant des vins du Vieux Monde en mettant l'accent sur les vins italiens. On vous propose plus de 25 sortes de vin au verre et 6 sortes en bouteille.

I had their Eggs Florentine and it was outstanding! The eggs were cooked perfectly - so rare in other restaurants, as I usually get them over cooked so the yolk can't spill out. They added wonderful roasted potatoes and fresh tomatoes. Excellent!

Always count on Bellanico for a nice time out with a lot of choices of food and wine. It's like visiting an old friend, very relaxed and a friendly.

Birthday dinner for my mother-in-law for 5. Sat outside on the street, but a bit noisy with cars. The food, wine, and service are all fabulous! The pastas, appetizers, dessert, and wine were perfect and we had a great time!!

I've always had a great experience at Bellanico and shared this evening with two friends for their inaugural meal here. They were wildly impressed with both the food and the service. We started with the (must-have) "Grilled" Ceasar along with the Burrata. We were introduced to Malfatti as one of the entrees - a first time for each of us having this piece of pasta heaven! The Tagliolini Pepati is highly recommended, as is my go-to favorite, the chicken breast. Our server, Darin, guided our wine selection and we enjoyed a delightful Rosso di Montalcino. Though we were celebrating two belated birthdays, we didn't get to dessert (which without a doubt would have included Bomboloni!) Highly recommended!

Bellanico's food is always perfectly prepared. It is fresh, reflecting the season. For early fall, last night's menu featured batter-fried squash blossoms, corn, peaches, and tomatoes in multiple ways, along with many other delicious foods. Every menu has new surprises and choosing is really a challenge, because every dish sounds amazing. The serving staff are friendly and helpful. The wine list is extensive and well-curated. Bellanico is a warm, welcoming place and we're always happy to be there.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends, seated outside. All the dishes were excellent, with the malfatti again winning 10 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed the generous portion of perfectly prepared swordfish w/tasty sides. Everyone at our table was oohing and aching about the food. And I loved the tangerine panna cotta for dessert. Paired with very nice Italian wine list. Bring back the wine flights, please!

We're so delighted to see Bellanico open for weekend brunch. We had a wonderful meal sitting outside in the Parklet on Sunday. The food was delicious and service great. And the prices are reasonable. The Glenview 'hood is a refreshing return to Oakland's better days! This is an outstanding option for Brunch. What's particularly impressive is the size/breadth of the menu. For a small restaurant to have so many tasty choices, all of which are expertly prepared is unusual. We look forward to a return visit soon
