Le Bellanico Restaurant & Wine Bar a toujours quelques tables pour les gens qui n'ont pas de réservation. Par contre, il est préférable de contacter directement le Bellanico afin de réserver pour vos évènements. Le Bellanico est une continuité du restaurant renommé de Chris Shepherd et d'Elizabeth Frumusa, le Aperto in Potrero Hill à San Francisco. C'est un restaurant de quartier situé dans le quartier de Glenview à Oakland. Le nom Bellanico est un dérivé des surnoms de leurs filles Bella et Nico. Le personnel du Bellanico est très fier de la nourriture, du service et du vin qui est offert au restaurant. Jonathan Luce, le chef cuisinier, sert une cuisine italienne rustique qui change selon les saisons. Ils sont dédiés à servir les meilleurs produits de saison, locaux, durables et biologiques qu'ils peuvent trouver. Le restaurant utilise du poulet "Pitman Farms", de la viande "Prather Ranch", et du porc "Duroc" ainsi que des poissons et des fruits de mer capturés dans leur environnement naturel. Il dispose également d'un bar à vin proposant des vins du Vieux Monde en mettant l'accent sur les vins italiens. On vous propose plus de 25 sortes de vin au verre et 6 sortes en bouteille.

Always delicious and welcoming, Bellanico made my birthday special. Delicious food and a candle on my dessert. Highly recommend.

We were delighted with our dinner at Bellanico. The food was delicious and attractively served. Our waitress, Maya, was helpful, attentive, and friendly. The prices are very reasonable for the value. We will definitely return!

It’s our favorite place for great food, excellent wines, and quiet conversation. Also, the deserts are a notch or two above bay area standards.

We had taken this restaurant off our list after a poor service experience over 10 years ago. Yes, we are that way. Tonight more than made up for it with really delicious food and exceptional service. We had the pork belly appetizer, which was perfection. The chicken with white beans was tasty, primarily due to the lemon confit that added just the right hint of brightness to a tender chicken breast. The spaghetti with Bolognese was good, if not remarkable. But we’ll be back due to the rest of the high-quality food and the great service. I can’t eat gluten and the server started to put a dish down and realized that the kitchen had plated it with the pasta she had requested off. While it took a little longer to get back then I would like, I appreciated that she noticed it and fixed it right away. That was the pork belly, and in the end, it was totally worth the wait!

Wonderful return to thr best Italian food in the area ! Startes of potaoe leek soup, chicken liver pate, then pasta woth a meat ragu, followed by the mango panna cotta. Everyyhing was perfectas well as reasonably priced.

I don’t think I will ever subject myself to such a dreadful evening. Most imminent is to wait wait eait for first a salad to be served. Then to WAIT an enormous time for the entrees. All amidst a racquet and with a dirty table that we had to ask to be cleaned and ask again, “Where is our food?” After going here for years, I realize it has deteriorated to not being civilized or a pleasant eating establishment.

We had not been back for years so we were very happy to see the restsurant really thriving!!! The menu is excellent, wonderful potatoes& lerk soup was out starter. Thrn mussels which was amazing, very plump and meaty. Then pasta one with meat ragu and one with tomatoes and bacon. Very different sauces but both quite good. They have a special processca from Italy which we had never had before. It is very smooth!!! T he desserts were perfectly decadent too! Chocolate made to order cake, small dinut balls with angliase and bittersweet sauce and a pannacotta. All wonderful
