BellaBrava New World Trattoria was born in 2005 in Downtown Saint Petersburg. Over the years since, BellaBrava has been voted Best Restaurant in Saint Petersburg, Best Italian, and is a perennial Guest favorite on Beach Drive.

Less formal than a ristorante, our service is casual, our prices remain reasonable and our emphasis is on a steady clientele rather than haute cuisine. Old World flavors mingle with New World flair. From seafood to traditional pasta, pizzas, and more, we are positive everyone will find something delicious to savor.

BellaBrava’s unique Woodstone™ ovens cook delicious pizzas and a guest favorite, the Crostata.

Our ingredients are fresh, often locally sourced, and evoke the flavors of Tuscany and other delicious cuisines from Italy. With friendly, competent staff, BellaBrava aims to be your casual dining spot.

I made a reservation for 7pm. My husband and I arrived at 6:45pm and I let the hostess know we were early and happy to have a seat at the bar, if necessary. It’s my birthday, and I had requested a booth or perimeter table as I do not like sitting in the middle of any restaurant. The hostess took my name, and said “no problem, I can seat you right now.” We were shown to a table in the middle of the restaurant right by the walkway that the servers enter and exit the kitchen. I looked around and multiple booths and tables by the wall were open so I requested that we be sat at one of them which they accommodated without a problem. The server was a sweetheart and our meal was excellent… but when I got home I had an email marking us as “no show.” Thankfully I paid with a credit card so can easily show we were there, but I am at a loss as to what’s up with the hostess with the blonde hair. She just detracted from what would have otherwise been a great experience.

We did enjoy the dinner. Only one item that needed to be addressed. When we were seated, both my menu and wine list had significant amount of food attached to them. Who ever set the table did not care about cleanliness and a customer’s 1st impression. The food was excellent and we will be back

The chopped Italian salad was far far better than I was expecting! SO good that I will return JUST for that salad and that wasn't even my entree. The pizza was outstanding too!

We are here a few years ago when we were in the area and enjoyed it so much that we made a point to come back and bring our daughter when saying at a nearby beach. Food is delicious, service is fantastic and the ambiance is great. Also close by the pier and beautiful waterfront parks of St Petersburg. Treat yourself!

Had an excellent dinner! Our server was very kind and helpful in choosing menu items as first time visitors. The food came out well prepared and timely. It was quiet when we first arrived but soon after seated a large work party and from there it got super loud. Enough to where I felt like I was yelling at my table. I do feel like our server got a little overwhelmed then and some things (like water refills) fell by the wayside, but she was doing the best she could for sure. We would return! Definitely recommend as a great stop in St. Pete.
