We arrived earlier than our reservation time, but were still seated immediately which was nice! Service was fine, nothing outstanding, but he was nice. We sat on the back patio and I loved the string lights. We ordered a bottle of the Seven Falls cabernet and really enjoyed it. For the food, we ordered: 1. sliders - 8/10 good, not great. 2. spicy shrimp pasta - 6/10 did not live up to the hype. It was fine, but not amazing. 3. spinach artichoke dip - 9/10 - delicious, only complaint is we could have used a few more pita chips. 4. calamari - 9/10 very crispy and delicious, wish there were a few more. We don't live close, but if we are in the area, I would come back!

Service was less than fair. There weee 5 tables occupied, with 6 servers roaming around. Our server for two people was a rare sight. She was happy only when she showed up with the check after we asked another server for the check. Not to say the other server was not happy we asked her, since we could not find our server.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in downtown St Charles. The elevated patio amid tree-lined streets and historic old buildings provides a lovely place to dine. Food is excellent as well.

Beautiful day to sit on the porch! Started off with an Old Fashioned which was very good. Spicy meatballs were excellent. Enjoyed a nice bottle of Pinot Noir and then enjoyed the chicken and spinach flatbread! Yum! Service was very good even though they were very busy! Everyone is so friendly. Will be back soon.

Very disappointed we really looked forward to this because we had heard so many things about Bella Vino that we’re good. We were stuck on a back patio with dirty bricks and broken umbrellas piled up next to our table. The service was incredibly slow. It took forever to get our food and then when they brought it out, they brought one person their food and the other three sat there for 10 minutes then they brought the next person their food and the other two people sat there Was a dirty patio. The food was not that great and it took four of us a half an hour for all of us to end up getting our food by the time the fourth person got their food. The first person was finished eating would not recommend and will not be back.

Hi Beverly, I am sorry to hear about your experience! We don't have any bricks on our back patio though so I am a little confused.. we also just power washed it all back there, but I guess it was not up to your standards! If you would have requested a new area and table we would have happily moved you. I looked up your check and your tapas dishes (which are meant to come out as they are prepared for sharing and not a coursed out meal, which your server should have made you aware in the beginning) came out between 2-7 min between dishes. For a Saturday at 7pm I am happy with those times! Guess tapas is just not your style and that's ok! Take Care! Thanks for trying us out!
