Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious we had the room to ourselves which was great it was the early sitting as we had a play at the NAC which is in walking distance

Perfect evening out with my parents who were visiting.Beautiful building amazing service and the food was just wonderful so tasty! You have to order the buttermilk biscuits and burned butter ! Plus proceeds go towards those in need:)

Beckta is one of my daughter and I's favourite restaurants in Ottawa. I find that it's the most consistent service, flavours and level of quality / taste amongst all. So we have a tradition to go yearly for our birthdays and on occasion on Valentine's Day. That said, I was a tad disappointed that: - our server didn't bring us plates/bowls to share our lamb ravioli served in a broth (her response was: you guys are close enough to the place! with a tap on my shoulder), - a hair was on my plate and caught in the puree under my steak (they did re-plate after I pointed it out and offered me dessert with a happy birthday inscription made in chocolate + a bit of wine to make up for it), and - my steak was cold and served with a faded rocket and a few cold potatoes tossed into it. The flavours were still excellent, and our server was otherwise great (including excellent wine recommendations). It just wasn't as amazing as I usually find it. My daughter loved her duck and crême brulée, but commented on how it seemed less than previous times. I know times are tough, but we don't want to see Beckta take shortcuts that will make it loose its appeal, clientele, and rating!

Our waitress, Kim, was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, wine. Great sense of humour. Food and cocktails were fantastic

One of the best, if not THE best, restaurant in Ottawa. Everything was perfect: cocktails, wine, food, service, ambience. Highly recommend!
