Fantastic! Celebrated a special milestone. Service, food and wine were impeccable. We splurged on the Tasing menu (plant based) with wine pairing. Pricy but absolutely amazing! Would not hesitate to go back for another special evening.

Absolutely love the food! The octopus was excellent. We were surprised with a glass of champagne to celebrate a special evening. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend! The service was fantastic

Service top notch. The 2 plates we ordered arrived semi warm. Charcuterie board to start- excellent. Wine from Ontario excellent. Overall I must say was disappointing. They offered a crème brûlée for 2 for free which we accepted. Peter Maitre d did appear concerned about our predicament. However we are likely not to return.

Great lunchtime experience. The small menu was tremendously varied and we were both happy with our choices. Friendly and attentive service. We'll go again soon.

We made the decision to take the 5 courses diner. It was up to our expectation and the wine pairing was excellent. As our previous visits we were very pleased with our choice. In general the food was vey refined but we found that the corn sauce accompanying the sweetbreads was somehow overwhelming…….too spicy.

We opted for the five-course tasting menu, and my wife added the wine pairings. The five dishes were fantastic - in particular the Nashville Hot Sweetbreads, which we would have chosen as a standalone entree had it been available. My wife indicated that the pairings matched very well with the courses. I ordered a vodka Gibson as a cocktail to start, and was surprised when the bar reported that they didn’t have cocktail onions, so I chose a Martini in lieu. While this is not an uncommon experience in Ottawa, I would not expect it of an establishment like Beckta. Are drinks that call for cocktail onions that rare?
