Avec l'équipe derrière The Stanton Social il y a Beauty & Essex, un grand restaurant de 930 mètres carres, avec son bar et salon au cœur du Lower east side.

    We were the first reservation at 5pm as soon as the restaurant opened and was still seated in the very back of the restaurant by the bathroom where it was freezing cold. The burger was burned, my fries were cold, it was sent back. I had to ask for dishes to share the appetizers, when I received the dish (only one) it was visibly very very dirty. Perhaps from the dishwasher, it was never wiped off. The manager came over to offer a round of drinks, we accepted but my replacement meal didn’t come until after everyone was finished their food. Since the dirty plate had most of my lobster Mac and cheese, that was also replaced. I didn’t enjoy my experience today. I haven’t visited in years and this was such a disappointment.

    Great night with friends of all ages. Had to wait a while, but worth it. Food, beverage, dessert all were terrific. Also great experience.

    We have been going to Beauty andEssex for many years and we have always enjoyed it greatly. This time a little less so. The food was extremely salty in general, the cocktail disappointing. We still love the ambience and the serviva was attentive, but we missed the food quality and creativity that we much enjoyed in the past.

    Celebrated a bday with a big group of friends. Everyone made us feel so welcome and we had a fabulous time. Great ambience, vibe, and we loved all the shareable food options. We also had a vegetarian and a vegan in our group, and there were more than enough options that we all loved. Actually, I think the vegan options were some of the most tastiest. I highly recommend especially for a group. Our servers were great and very attentive but not overly so as they let us stay and have fun without rushing us through the dinner. we were there for well over two hours. We’ll definitely return.

    Bad food, cheesy crowd, noisy and overpriced. Feels like a bad gimmick, no care or concern for food quality

    Started out very rocky; had to wait around for no apparent reason when we arrived at 5:00 on Father’s Day, even tho the place was empty. Apparently the hostess hasn’t clicked something indicating we had arrived. Then we were given the worst table in the place which was also inexplicable given that the place was empty. Ended up asking to move our table. Once the food and drinks got underway it was great- both were excellent. Deserts were to die for. Our waitress was lovely.

    This is truly a “New York” spot. The entire experience of showing up to a pawn shop front only to be greeted by doormen that open a door to a 25 ft chandelier centered room is surreal. The food and ambiance was great - overall great experience. The only knock on the place is the hostess team were a bit rude and disorganized.
