A true gem in Avondale. The food was flavor forward, inventive and beautifully plated. The chef and his staff went out of their way to make sure we had an exceptional dining experience. A new favorite!

Both the food and service were exceptional. Glad we gave them a second chance to redeem themselves on the service front.

We had a wonderful experience at the Bearcat. The space was gorgeous and the staff were knowledgeable, the right amount of attentive, and made great recommendations. The food was so unique and delicious. The portion sizes were on the smaller side so it was perfect to pick and choose a few things each and share amongst the table. We will definitely go back!

If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a night out, Bearcat is NOT the place! While the menu is limited, the food was excellent. I highly recommend the Duck entre'. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable (just a few minor missteps). BUT, our evening was spoiled by the blaring Rap music. Now, I'm no prude and I can enjoy rap music at times. But Lil Wayne & Kendrick Lamar at 95 decibels does not make for a romantic evening. We were, literally, yelling at each other across the table. All this while there were still 4 tables of diners trying to enjoy their meals. It was almost comedic to watch people try to talk to each other. We mentioned this to our server, and we were told that people have complained about the noise level & music on previous occasions. The manager passed by our table to look at us with shear indignation! But nothing was done to tone down the volume. After champagne, apps, wine and dinner our bill totaled $200+. We forewent dessert and crossed the street to Kaminski's. If you are out for a night of Rave & Rap, then Bearcat should be on your list

We love Bearcat! This was our third time there, and I had made reservations far enough in advance to get the kitchen counter for the chefs tasting experience. Our second chefs tasting experience and we were not disappointed. We had the wine pairing with this dinner, and we're glad we did. We were going to have a cocktail first but decided the wine would be enough. The wine selections were so good!

Highly recommend! We absolutely loved our time spent at the bar with Dray. The food was phenomenal and the ambiance was perfect! Can’t wait to come back.

This restaurant is trying too hard. The result is very little food with a lot of different flavors for an exorbitant cost.

They were short staffed we left after drinks We had not gotten any part of our order 1 hour in They were happy to take 40.00$ cash for 2 drinks A very bad experience for an Anniversary Dinner

While the food overall was excellent, they were clearly understaffed both wait staff and I think kitchen staff as well! It took 45 minutes to get 3 glasses of wine and 1 cocktail. Nicely paced dining is one thing but waiting another 45 minutes for appetizers then another 45 minutes after that for mains is ridiculous. From a 7:15 reservation, we were served our main courses at 9:40!! It took 3 hours to eat a meal and at that point who cared about dessert!? I asked for the duck medium. I was told that it's prepared sous vide - it came out barely cooked and inedible for me. They took it back but by the time it came out a second time everyone was finished eating dinner. They did take it off the bill and it is home with me -- have no idea if it's edible now or if it's so well done as to be dried out. The lasagna, which was delicious, was tepid at best - really? Put it in the microwave! No one ever came to apologize for the delay or to update us as to what was going on. When we said something to the young lady who came back with the duck, she did say they were having "issues" whatever that means. It will be a long while before we go back there.
