Chef/Owner George Kovach has over 15 years of experience working in the service industry, including eight years working in Michelin-starred restaurants, he and his team are excited to provide a neighborhood gathering place in the heart of West Ashley. **Please note that our menu does change frequently as we source food locally and seasonally.

- Last seating for reservations are 9:30pm for Main Dining.
- Our Menu is available until 10pm.
- Bar seating is available Tuesday-Thursday 10pm and Friday-Saturday 11pm.

Very good vibe. Food is unique and I enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the chefs. However, our food was only OK. Oysters didn't taste like oysters...more like the cream cheese they were mixed with. Barely tasted crab in the appetizer.

The culinary experience at Bearcat is exceptional. Flavor is in focus on each mindfully prepared plate. The environment is modern and cozy. Service was warm and personal at each step.

We had to ask to have the music to be turned down, ambiance stark, waitress was nice and tried to answer questions about the food and wine. Over priced.

Interior design was cool. Majority of the dishes were good, and we actually learned something! Like an uncut, undressed head of lettuce and two gusher sized pieces of peach could be called a salad. My friend and I decided that we must have done something very egregious to our server in a past life, for that is the only explanation a complete stranger in the service industry would be so rude. I would come back for the peach gushers regardless, those were very good.

he food was beautifully prepared, complex, tasty and delicious. The tasting menu had quite a variety which I won't list since the surprise is part of it. Our waiter provided a taste of 2 wines to help us make a choice which was wonderful. The food is unlike what you would get probably anywhere in Charleston because of the attention to detail for each and every course. While I liked some things better than others that was due to personal taste, not to the preparation. The cavatelli was extraordinary with subtle and layered flavors. The serving dishes were selected to feature the item and added to the overall delight. This is a must try restaurant.

Came on a quiet night, had some wonderful bites and drinks, and stellar service. Shout out to the boys at the bar, you made our night!

Bearcat missed the mark. The restaurant was warm and the air conditioning was struggling to keep the spot cool. We did the tasting menu and the portions are super small and some of the dishes missed the mark with taste and execution. We had plenty of time in between each course to chat. Overall, it was over $500 for a party of 3.

Server talked way too much. We read the menu, we know what is in the dish. Put the plate down and walk away. Food was okay. Setting cheap.
