Perched on the JW Marriott's 27th floor, Beacon is Tampa's highest (and second highest in Florida) public rooftop cocktail and dining destination, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline and the shimmering waterfront. Beacon's debut marks a momentous milestone for the luxurious property, which initially opened its doors in December 2020.

With the weather not allowing us to celebrate Yolanda's birthday on the outdoor patio area, it kind of took away the excitement of the evening.

I liked the Beacon but when reservation was made there was no selection of outside vs inside seating. Would have preferred outside with the better view for our anniversary. Little bit of a let down….

The aesthetic, the vibe and the skyline were great. The bar was limited (no Moscato, no Prosecco, only dry wines available, no cream for mixed drinks, no blended drinks, & only certain types of alcohol served). The shareable food selections looked great on the menu but their taste were mediocre. That said, overall, we had a good experience. We were in town for a huge event and it was great socializing with some of the event participants at the lounge.

Great experience overall, attentive staff (hosts, and our waitress). Great location with easygoing amenities such as hassle free parking

Nice views, great service! Didn’t eat anything but the drinks were good especially the old fashioned!

The restaurant week special 3-course dinner was a bit disappointing. No one can eat that much edamame (although it tastes delicious). Edamame should not be served as a "course". The buns were tasty and the dessert (Creme caramel) was ok.

Great view, great food, great service and not overly priced. I was hesitant because of the bad reviews that mentioned these things but they must’ve fix all the issues I’ve read about, because everything was top notch! Will definitely visit again!

We just went to quickly toast our son’s birthday. It was lively and casual atmosphere. It is better experienced during the night. Overall it was a good experience.

The service was not good. We waited for 20 minutes for our waitress to arrive at our table. She proceeded in taking our order, but only got halfway through our party and then left without taking orders from everyone. We asked the bartender to get her attention and send her back to our table and then waited another 10 minutes. At that point we moved our party to the indoor bar to get service and asked the staff to transfer our order to the bar. The bartender served us the drinks from the order and the waitress then came to everyone asking them to close out their tabs, charging an automatic 20% gratuity. I explained to her we moved to the bar due to wait time and her failure to take the entire party’s order. She did not apologize for the poor service and said she had 6 other tables. Ridiculous!
