Our stunning ocean-front location with spectacular sunsets makes the Beach House an iconic destination on Kauai's south shore that has won the Hale 'Aina Award for "Best Restaurant - Kauai" for 20+ years.

Our philosophy at the Beach House is simple - take aloha, blend it with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and add an ocean view to deliver a handcrafted, Hawaiian experience. Executive Chef Marshall Blanchard makes the most of local ingredients by sourcing our fish directly from island fisherman and our beef from neighboring ranches. We incorporate fresh and local produce throughout our menu, highlighting Hawai'i farms and the resources that surround Kauai.

Reservations are highly recommended for a dining room table in our open-air restaurant. We also offer lounge seating on our lawn, where the full menu and full service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please check in with the bar host for lawn seating.

Drinks and food, excellent, service was competent, while average, lovely location, I suspect that really is the value equation in that you can’t find a prettier property for a nice dinner on island, food preparation and presentation did not disappoint. I just wish that they offered local fresh catch seafood. Monchong, although prepared deliciously, likely was brought over from Honolulu, same with scallops and lobster.

This was a great experience are waiter Nate did and excellent job of taking care of are needs we picked this place to celebrate are wedding engagement and it did not disappoint the sunset was beautiful.

Ambience was perfect for sunset dinner on the water, and the food was superb to match the setting. The scallops we ordered were cooked to perfection!

World Class views and the food is to go along with that. If you are in Kauai you need to have dinner here at least once.

Loud; but expected. Extremely accommodating: had a member of our party with a hearing defecit, and they were able to relocate us to a table that was better suited for our needs. Will definitely go back in the future.

If you value your time on Kauai, please, please avoid this tourist trap. Got sucked into some reviews that made it seem a decent place to dine on Kauai. I’m not sure what people think is acceptable in a restaurant, but this isn’t it. I’m sure most people are here because it’s truly a beautiful vantage point to take a picture, and it really is. Aside from the picturesque setting, the food literally blows. We had two appetizers; the highly recommended potstickers and lobster deviled eggs. The potstickers were the only item on the menu I would recommend. They were seared just right with enough filling, and a nice semi-sweet mango habanero sauce. The lobster deviled eggs, on the other hand, were tasteless. Not enough…something. Just bland and for $25, don’t bother. I had the special of the day, a rack of lamb from Colorado. I know, why would I order any kind of meat on an island with great fish? Well,I ate fish for the last 5 nights and was craving something meat-wise. Yikes. I don’t know what to say. But there was so little meat on these chops and mostly fat and gristle that I was spitting out wads of this and that. Ugh. My husband ate his soggy macadamia nut encrusted fish, because he eats everything placed in front of him and will always say it was good,. He’s a moron. So, in conclusion…this place is not the best place on the south side. In my opinion you should go to 1. Red Salt, 2. The Eating House. Those were the two we liked . The rest were, meh.

We were celebrating our one year anniversary and notified the restaurant of that. The staff was so gracious and attentive even though I’m sure there were many other tables celebrating special occasions. That, and the food, service, views, and ambiance were nothing short of wonderful. Thank you for making our special day so memorable!
