Our stunning ocean-front location with spectacular sunsets makes the Beach House an iconic destination on Kauai's south shore that has won the Hale 'Aina Award for "Best Restaurant - Kauai" for 20+ years.

Our philosophy at the Beach House is simple - take aloha, blend it with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and add an ocean view to deliver a handcrafted, Hawaiian experience. Executive Chef Marshall Blanchard makes the most of local ingredients by sourcing our fish directly from island fisherman and our beef from neighboring ranches. We incorporate fresh and local produce throughout our menu, highlighting Hawai'i farms and the resources that surround Kauai.

Reservations are highly recommended for a dining room table in our open-air restaurant. We also offer lounge seating on our lawn, where the full menu and full service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please check in with the bar host for lawn seating.

Only real negative was the 35 min wait after reservation time for our table. Good food basically Monkey Pod with an amazing view.

Sunset views here are amazing. Reserved for a 60th birthday celebration and requested a “water view” table in hopes of getting seated in the “front row” and the restaurant didn’t disappoint! Rose, our server, was fantastic and attentive without being intrusive or rushy. Food, as always, was yummy. We eat here every time we visit the Island, and we always love it!

A number of people suggested that I try Beach House. We decided to book it for our last night on Kauai. I could only get a reservation for seven at 4:30 but that was fine since we had young children with us. Our table was right next to a patio, which turned out to be hosting a large group. There were people literally standing 2 to 3 feet from us and talking. Although the food was very good, it took over an hour to be served, which is not great when you have young children. It’s a lovely place, but I feel it was overbooked leading to crowding and delays in getting the food out.

We’ve been to the Beach House many times over 30 years now. The ambience is amazing still. The menu has definitely changed with newer management. The lobster deviled eggs are terrific. We enjoyed them with the nonalcoholic drinks! The beet salad was delicious too. We both had the macadamia crusted fish— yummy. The pasta looked good…maybe next time. Had to try the chocolate mochi cake: pretty good. Overall it was lovely again.

The view and our server were the highlights of the evening. The area is very crowded with people coming to get sunset photos. The food is very overpriced for the quality of it all. None of our dinners stood out. My food was not hot, vegetables were just thrown on the plate and ere cold too. With each entree over 60 dollars, you expect more. Drinks were average as well. We dined at Merrimans the night before and enjoyed that much more. I know you pay for the view but we all felt ripped off when we left.
