Bayviews Restaurant & Lounge Bar is located on the beach with endless views of the coast to the ocean in cool climate coastal northern Tasmania.
It offers a beautiful relaxed atmosphere for dining in the restaurant, casual drinks and bar food in the lounge area and private dining, conferences and meetings in the exquisite Wave room.
At Bayviews we have a seasonal menu and it paints a portrait of the region using the highest quality ingredients that we can find, focusing on six key areas: land, ocean, vineyards, livestock, dairy and orchard.
Our contemporary restaurant offers a-la-carte and six or nine course tasting menu. Our dishes are created from local products and techniques from our talented team of chefs. Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan options available.

    Good food at this restaurant and a nice table near the window overlooking the bay. I had the kingfish which was cooked beautifully $51 and my wife had the charred porterhouse $52 which was nicely done. Couple of well priced wines. The Pate entree was nice but they were stingy with the bread. It cost $25, so what was the problem with adding an extra piece of bread which would have cost them 50 cents? Don't like the idea of a tip coming up as the first thing they ask for(electronically) after your dining experience has been completed. Get rid of that American idea. All in all , a good evening out. We have never had a bad dining experience at Bay View yet and that is over 8 years. Staff were very professional as usual.

    Booked for Valentines day. An elderly blonde lady sat us at our table then left without offering anything, no water, no menu, nothing. We waited for a while and nobody came to offer us water or even a menu. I eventually went and got us a water jug. We waited again for a while and still nobody came to offer us a menu, so I got up again to grab a menu. We waited again for someone to ask us for drinks or even acknowledge we existed. So, I got up again and went to the bar to ask for a drinks menu and question who is waiting on us, they then eventually sent someone. I don't know her name but she was tall, brunette, and had braces, she was lovely and did a great job. Overall, the food and atmosphere was nice, but the initial service really let the experience down for us.

    Won’t be satisfied until we have revisited you enough times to experience every single dish on your fabulous menu, once again, compliments to the chef and if course all the wonderful staff. Fabulous food every time 👌👌👌

    As usual the whole Bayviews experience was exceptional. Food was excellent, service friendly and attentive but respectful it is top class!

    Our dining experience at. Bayviews Restaurant was excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere where to go the atmosphere , the service and the food was 10/10 . Could not fault anything. Definitely will be returning.

    My husband and I had an exceptional dinner at Bayview restaurant last night. We tried the six course degustation with matching premium wines. It was super delicious and matching wines were outstanding. We took our two boys with us who ate the popcorn chicken and icecream from the kids menu. The kids menu had lots of options. We had fantastic service from all staff especially our waiter. He explained the food and wines in detail. We sat at the window and enjoyed the spectacular views of the beach!! This restaurant is a must!!
