BAYTE, is a modern European neighbourhood restaurant with an emphasis on local sourcing and quality produce in the seaside town of St Leonards-on-Sea. The seasonal menu blends influences from across the globe, with particular reference to Italian recipes, such as hand-rolled pastas.
The meat at BAYTE is free-range and reared on biodynamic, organic Haye Farm in Devon. Vegetables are also sourced from organic suppliers, most of them from English and Japanese vegetable growers Namayasai, and Goat Grid Farm, both in nearby Lewes.

Join us and Giovanni Mazzei, winemaker and owner of Zisola Winery for a trip through Sicily with a set 5 course menu and wine pairing. Our head chef, Jacob Rosen, has designed a beautiful menu. Utilising produce from local suppliers such as Goat Grid, to bring Sicily to St Leonards for one night only! Each ticket includes the set menu and wine pairing of 4 glasses of wine. We can cater for all dietary requirements - please notify us at time of booking.

A sublime experience. Gorgeous space, a menu that makes your taste buds pop, plus cool and friendly service from a young and knowing team. Worth leaving London for.

The food was delicious. The tastes and flavours were gorgeous. The service was great....appreciated the sparkling water and free salad. Good atmosphere....vibrant but not too noisy. The only downside for me was the choice and sound level of the music. But when I asked they did turn the sound down.

Best ever food and service the server was absolutely on point 💯 of the time. I think everyone needs to try this restaurant the food was beyond the realms of Amazing. The only one thing I'd say was I was sat on a fire extinguisher 🧯 the entire time. My arm kept banging up against it.

Food good, if a bit oily. Staff very good but service slow. Service charge of 15% is far too much. 12.5% is enough. Beer is vastly overpriced. Wine is reasonable value.

Top class venue on the King's Rd that is quickly developing a great reputation with a number of good food destinations. This is undoubtedly the cream of the crop. Great menu, good wine list (although had a night off on Saturday early evening's visit), friendly and great service and an all-round classy venue.
