Nice place, and pleasant atmosphere, but it took them too long to prepare a 3 sandwiches and two hamburgers. We waited easy 45 minutes.

We were looking for a place to celebrate mt wife's birthday & settled on Baxter's, never having been there before. Being at the Oshawa Centre, there was, of course, plenty of parking. We sat in the patio and enjoyed the array of flowers decorating the area. Our waitress was knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient. My wife and I both had the maple chicken and our son had the Landing carbonara; nobody was disappointed. For dessert, we all had Marscapone cheesecake. Our only mistake was in ordering one each. The desserts are VERY LARGE. Neither my wife nor our (adult) son were able to finish theirs - not for lack of trying, it was also very good. The blueberry sauce came on the side but we all spooned it over the cheesecake and I recommend eating it this way. If you're looking for someplace to celebrate a special occasion, look no further than Baxter's Landing. The menu is somewhat limited in choices but big on flavour; the food was served hot and attractively arranged. We particularly appreciated the highlights on the menu identifying the gluten-free meals and our waitress's comfort in discussing same. The wine and beer choices were to our liking. We even noticed the outdoor heating units overhead, not required for our visit but comforting in their presence. What more could you ask for?

We had a great time at Baxter's Landing. We went for Father's day and ordered pizza, the surf and turf special and kids options. My husband was served the surf and turf and realized there was a mistake with the order. He notified our server Ziv and she immediately accommodated his order. She also notified the manager Colin who came to apologize and made sure we were taken cared of. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was okay with our time at the restaurant. We understand mistakes happen. Customer service is also the field both my husband and I are in. We appreciate the service they provided for us. We will definitely be going back for another night out.

Great server, he was on the ball as we were tucked in the back and the hostess didn’t communicate this. He was fabulous. Food came to the table hot and as always delicious. He was attentive, but not overbearing and a joy to talk to.

The beet salad and arancini were amazing! The steak was very disappointing, under seasoned and gristly.

First time at Baxter’s Landing and it was a wonderful experience. I had the steak and shrimp which was very good. My steak was good perfectly.

We had an 11:45 am reservation and it took over an hour to receive our food. Drinks took way too long to come. We were there much longer than anticipated. Won't be coming back anytime soon.
