We’re delighted to introduce Bavette. A neighbourhood bistro filled with warm engaging hospitality, with a menu of seasonally led classically driven dishes.

We hope to get that balance of generosity and quality right - that juxtaposition of every day special.

Bavette is a love letter to our favourite places we’ve been to and been lucky enough to be a part of.

Very friendly staff. Made us feel very comfortable. Menu had some classics. Delicious cognac offered at the end. Would definitely recommend

Wow - the Bavette experience came highly recommended and it certainly lived up to expectations!! The food was sublime and the wine fantastic! The service from Clement and his front of house team was excellent- warm, friendly, engaging and informative - nothing was too much trouble and we were especially pleased at the gluten free options for coeliac member of our party. The vibe was relaxed and friendly, the decor ticking all boxes. Can’t wait to return to try more of the chef’s amazing dishes!

Quiet Friday lunchtime, welcoming staff, the menu has enough variety to choose from without being overly extensive. Food preparation was excellent, service likewise, and we learnt a bit about pâté en crôute! Our only minor criticisms would be that a) there was no bread offered as part of the "cover" - not an issue for me but my husband would have liked that, and b) the wine is perhaps overpriced for the "by the glass" offerings. Overall very good and we will definitely return!

Top tier example of a great French bistro. Nothing pretentious, just great technique and thoughtful combinations with friendly service. In many ways, the perfect neighbourhood restaurant.
