Located at the "Gateway to Southtown," the Historic and Majestic Firehouse #7 is home to Battalion. After a nearly two year renovation, "The Rock" has been restored as the crown jewel of Southtown. Overlooking the spectacular downtown cityscape and the famous Tower of Americas, Battalion's contemporary design merges perfectly alongside the historic building's strong, yet weathered 1920's craftsmanship. Chef Davis has created an extensive menu of fresh pastas, char-grilled meats, stunning vegetable dishes and Italian classics. Complimenting the menu is a comprehensive wine list and a refreshingly original cocktail program.

Fantastic food and service in a great location. The spinach dumplings were a table favourite, highly recommend trying. Hope to be back.

Our first time there and the food was absolutely amazing. No complaints at all. Service was lacking just a bit. Took quite a while to get a drink and we needed to remind our server about a couple of things. He was very pleasant, just seemed to have too much to do and maybe too many tables to handle. Will 100% go back.

Food was delicious atmosphere was upscale with upbeat music. We sat inside and it was loud but comfortable. Lamp chops were cooked perfectly

Lovely holiday meal on New Year’s Eve! Shared the Italian salad and had the halibut and slow-roasted carrots. Great wine selection and Nicole gave us excellent service!

An excellent meal, I thought in particular the tartare and several of the pasta dishes were excellent. It’s a cool building and a warm vibe, even with all the concrete.

First trip to this establishment and it lives to the reviews. Check-in was prompt for our reservation and table-side service was excellent. Adrian was very helpful with the menu and his recommendations proved to be tasty and left us wanting more. Adrian made the experience top shelf and the food was absolutely amazing. We will add this unique restaurant to our list of places we will definitely enjoy again.

Smaller than Texas size portions which is perfect in my opinion. Great food, loved the atmosphere and old Firehouse setting, pasta was amazing! Our server Kelly was fantastic and very attentive. Cocktails and dessert were a win as well! Will definitely go back!

Wasey(like Kasey with a W), I hope I am spelling this right….anyways, he was a phenomenal server. His energy and recommendations were spot on. The only problem if you can even call it one is that EVERYTHING on the menu looks and sounds amazing so widdling down choices was overwhelming but not for Wasey. “This is what I prefer, and this is what’s popular”. I know this may get an eye roll but the bread service with the whipped ricotta and honey set the bar right off the bat and the rest of the meal held up to that level. His wine recommendations were also chef’s kiss🤌🏼. We booked a reservation there for New Year’s Eve because why not. Good food and good location, so excited for round 2 and trying new dishes!
