Executive chef Aaron Ward (ex-Sixpenny and Shell House), recently awarded 2 two hats in the SMH Good Food, works closely with producers, farmers and fisherman that all have a great ethos on producing quality product for the guest.
For Ward, cooking is all about the guest experience and breaking down the barrier between the kitchen and the guests.

    The entire experience at Bathers is absolutely amazing. My partner and I came in peak Valentines Day lunchtime foot traffic and everything was just amazing. As a chef and currently a musician I understand how busy this time of year can be but these guys managed to make you feel special on this insanely busy day! Great work from top to bottom!

    We chose the degustation menu. Our waitress willingly Swapped out one course for me. Incredible food and value. Flawless dining experience.

    Food and service both outstanding. Only complaint if I was nit picking is I don't think they should charge extra for a slice of bread. However, we will definitely be going back and would recommend it.

    We dined mid week over a leisurely lunch: we all had superb main dishes and shared the apple tart. Delicious

    This is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world. The setting on the beach is extraordinary. We first visited twenty years ago. The place feels as fresh now as it did back then. The food is extraordinary, the service perfect and fun. It’s a joy to be in Sydney and the staff at Batherd make it even more so. The wine by the glass selection is unmatched. So many great choices on the menu it was hard to decide. We have a challenging food allergy to navigate and staff checked with the kitchen to ensure we would not need our EpiPen. Highly recommend!
