Bata is a restaurant designed to celebrate the best our region has to offer. We cook over a live oak fire, on our custom fabricated hearth. Our menu changes daily. We mill AZ grown grain in house, daily. We focus on whole animal butchery, done in house. We have an extensive fermentation program. Our bar program largely focuses on wines that are organic, biodynamic, and produced with minimal intervention. The cocktail list highlights the best products of the season, with a carefully curated list of spirits from across the globe. We believe that our hospitality is just as important as the food and beverages we put on the table.

We do not encourage our restaurant for young children. We do not have any highchairs in house and ask that you please bring your own if it is required.

A Culinary Delight We dined at Bata and had an unforgettable experience. The food was exquisite, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere inviting. I highly recommend it.

My mother and I visited to celebrate our birthdays together and overall, the experience was fantastic. From the moment we were sat, staff was attentive and flow of service ran smooth throughout our time there. We chose from the pre-fix menu and every dish was coursed out perfectly, even if one ingredient wasn’t our favorite, the entirety of the dish was still so fresh and creative. Our server, Oliver, was genuine and made quality recommendations. With it being Sonoran restaurant week and peak hours on a Friday evening, we were very impressed.

Good friends told us about Bata and said we had to go. We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and our server Brooke was delightful. It's a bit pricey, but well worth the trip to Downtown for a special evening. We will go back.

Creative, carefully crafted art that feeds the body, mind, and soul. We did the special 9-course tasting as part of Sonoran Restaurant Week. The wine pairing was perfectly done. We would not have to think twice about returning.

Amazing food, chefs choice was fun. Only complaint is preparing eggplant to be served 3 different ways in the same meal is a bit too much. Maybe one eggplant dish would suffice better.

There was a special mienu that Bata prepare for guests Usually their food and preparation are outstanding. But not last night. The beef entree wax inedible. Most of the foo wax just ok. Our advice just order your meal off the menu.

A perfect beginning to my birthday week - a celebration at Bata! My friend who joined me is gluten and dairy intolerant, but the restaurant kindly made selections from the evening's menu that suited her dietary needs. The service was wonderful - so friend and warm and casual. The food was absolutely amazing - who would have thought that a plant based meal could not only be delicious but filling - three shared plates, an appetizer and a dessert and we were completely satisfied. The restaurant did a nice birthday dessert for me - chocolate gelato with coffee granita - the best. The decor is so serene and tasteful, and we loved that although the restaurant was lively, it never became noisy and we could enjoy our conversation. All in all, a perfect night - we will definitely be back. Thanks to their wonderful staff!

The unique flavors in each plate were well thought out and very tasty. We were disappointed with the main entree. The beef was over cooked and should have been a better cut.

Dining at Bata is a great experience. Great cocktails, food, and service. We will have to go back to try the "surprise me menu"
