Bastion is the 24-seat restaurant of James Beard Foundation Award Nominee Chef Josh Habiger. It is located in a separate area within the casual cocktail bar of the same name, and it is a part of the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood of Nashville, TN. Bastion's dining room features counter seating around the kitchen for parties of 2 as well as three tables for parties of 3 to 6. Bastion's small team serves a weekly set menu of six dinner courses featuring many dishes with a wide variety of flavors, ingredients, and inspirations. Friendly service guides you through the culinary experience, which also features wine pairings, creative cocktails, and a curated vinyl soundtrack. Come early or stay late in the hidden Little Bar, which is a private offering for guests of the restaurant.

We've been to Bastion numerous times because it is our favorite restaurant in Nashville. The level of inventive and delicious cuisine coupled with friendly, comfortable service makes for an excellent evening every time. They have spoiled us for other chef counters, because no one else has ever been as friendly and informative.

Everything about Bastion was perfect & made our anniversary dinner extra special. The courses were incredibly creative & delicious, flavors i would never have put together that created such depth. We did the wine pairing with dinner & cocktails in the little bar following our meal & all were fantastic. The customer service was impeccable, the ambiance great & the experience a 10/10. I can’t wait to go back for our next celebration

Hands down the best restaurant in Nashville!!! Always an incredible experience that you just can't beat. Food is incredible and unique, staff is extremely friendly and the ambiance is just so cool.

Delicious, unique eating experience. Worth the price. We had such a lovely time and all of it was delicious. Also, the service is outstanding. Most of the seating is at the bar (larger groups were at tables), so you get to watch as the food is prepared. Some chefs are more chatty than others, but we found that if we asked questions about what they were doing, they were happy to explain and expound. I had the wine pairing, while my husband went for cocktails; the sommelier was very knowledgable and engaging and I got to try many unique wines that I cannot just pick up at the liquor store. We were told that the menu changes every 3-4 months, so we hope to go back and experience whatever they plan next.

Never fails to disappoint. The attention to detail from start to finish is the best in Nashville. The food is exciting and delicious, the wine pairings are top notch. The best!

Ingredients listed on a menu page, are tranformed by the Chefs at Bastion, into an incredible dining experience. Not fussy, not precious, but extraordinary. We are from out of town, but have eaten at Bastion 4 times and always look forward to returning. Chef Josh, GM Adam and their very talented staff provide a warm and friendly atmosphere. Don't miss the nachos at the Big Bar!
