Bastible is located just a short stroll from the landmark St Patricks Cathedral in the vibrant postcode of Dublin 8.
The restaurant overlooks the junction of Clanbrassil Street and South Circular Road in what was once the old Jewish quarter of Portobello.

Chef Killian Walsh leads the kitchen team and creates seasonal tasting menus using his varied and considerable industry experience. Bastible was awarded a coveted Michelin Star in 2022 and proudly retains it today.

Bastible's atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. There is no required dress code and we pride ourselves on friendly and knowledgable service.

Best meal we have had this year. Staff were amazing , the open kitchen was huge bonus and the food was delicious.

Excellent meal at Bastible with great service. Set menu very heavy on fish which was no issue for us but if you don't like fish maybe not for you. A small point but would have liked to see more wines by the glass on the menu.

Amazing Expiernece, we’ve been to a lot of Michelle’s restaurants however I felt this ticked all the boxes, and the wine pairing was perfect !! Can wait to go back.

Tasting menu was excellent and servings were perfectly sized, all delivered at a lovely relaxed pace.

Amazing food. Great experience. Had a large 10 person dinner on a work trip. We all also did the wine pairing.

Very skillful cooking with diverse and escalating flavours. Very knowledgeable sommelier who introduced us to something new. Great to see strong staff express an opinion as to their recommendations. Will absolutely be back!!

It was a truly special evening. The food and the wine pairing were exquisite. The service was so attentive yet not intrusive. Bastible has such a relaxed yet informal ambience to it. A standalone evening !

I had the tasting menu, which may or may not be in place every night, I don't know. Under those circumstances it's a fantastic restaurant, especially if you're a foodie interested in trying new dishes and appreciate not just taste but the artistry of food. I enjoyed my meal with the wine paring and it did not disappoint. I was dining solo and felt completely comfortable; the atmosphere is casual but lively and I did not feel out of place. Every dish was incredible, as were the wines selected. Fresh, different, beautiful and filling. My only regret is not tipping bigger. There are a lot of mixed messages about tipping in Ireland with people saying you don't tip at all lest you insult workers by suggesting they don't earn a decent living. As I spent more time, I discovered no one was insulted; many appreciated the gratuities. Unfortunately, Bastible was my first night and I only tipped 10% and in hindsight, that was cheap for the meal and service I received. My apologies to the staff. PUT THIS ON YOUR LIST AND GO! But make a reservation in advance so you don't miss out as it's a small place. P.S. - this is on the higher end of prices, but not so much for a tasting menu experience.
